How long does insulin overdose take to kill you?

I am just wondering how long does it take to pass away if taken in high doses on empty stomach with alcohol like what is the range few hours or few days?

It should work fast I think but only from logical perspective, when you eat sugar insulin in secreted almost immediately, after you inject yourself with insulin and there wont be enoght sugar in your blood and you will have empty stomach your sugar level will drop very fast resulting probably in coma and death,
