I also want to leave money for them. I'm not sure how many people will be involved but I want to leave each of them 60$, so I will just leave 10 ziplock bags of 60$ (Yeah I know… 600$ I can afford this), and if there's less than 10 people then maybe they can use it for whatever fees were needed to obtain me.

I don't think it will be 10 people but I feel like 600$ is a good amount? Or should I bring 1000$ ? I can afford that too.

I will be providing coordinates AND specific directions to get to my location of CTB (I'm going by SN), to make things easier for everyone.

Is the money a bad idea? I just feel bad.

The money isnt necessary and depending on your country/societal integrity they may not even take it. Your question kind of depends on your size as well, not to be rude but it is what EMS deals with daily. Sorry you are dealing with this, OP. Your consideration for others is admirable.

Yeah, this isn't making much sense, Tyra. They aren't movers or bartenders or hired hands who you can just leave tips for taped to your dead body.

I have read though that it can be VERY costly to have a body removed from a public space after a suicide.

Okay lol I wasn't going to tape it to my body but tape it to the outside of my tent…

How costly? I still want to leave money… not to the people moving me but just to the fees.

How would it be expensive? It's not like they have to clean anything up… I feel like your data is coming from gunshot deaths or something.

Yeah the difficulty to carry the body depend mainly of your weight.

You are extremely nice to want to leave money for the ems but probably they won't have the right to touch it as it will be considered as "crime scene item". And after all clarified and ruled out as suicide it will be given to your family I believe even if it can depend on country who knows

I actually have some personal experience with this! It depends on several factors. As others have said, definitely weight is a big one. The thing is, depending on your area, EMS will respond to call time of death, and might not even transport or attempt resuscitation. It'd be more of a medical examiner job, as they'd typically respond once law enforcement went through the stuff they have to do. Point is, they're trained for situations like this and I'm sure they'll have help wherever it's needed. Now, as for the money, that'd be seized as evidence during the investigation and unlikely released. I'd HOPE that they'd have morals and not pocket it.

Idk. You might me right about that (gunshot or jumping). IMO it's best to leave whatever you have to your family to help them take care of final expenses.

idk if you're planning on writing a note but it might be a good idea to write something asking your family to use your money to pay for the first responder fees or whatever, i don't really know how it works but that might be better than leaving straight up cash at the crime scene because like other people have said it would probably get put into evidence and not actually help the first responders
