Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

lmao I guess how biased the NYT is can be subjective. I'll admit sometimes they skew heavily left wing and I'm a bit sympathetic so I don't realize the extent, but they have a lot of good articles on things that other news agencies don't cover (or that you may not have thought about) that tend to be pretty decently centrist or just non partisan. They lock the good stuff behind their paywall so you have to use a vpn and sort-of-reload their website (press the reload button and then cancel it with the "X" button in google chrome, since the paywall loads last, or swap out your browser email everytime you run out of free articles) so that you don't let their grubby hands on your money.Mildly? And do we really need them in our lives?
