Probably been asked b4 but.. how did you find this site? Or why did you join??

How i found it was looking for methods, and suicide rates whatever, i found a article saying this was a "pro suicide" site w details abt how to ctb, so i ended up here

I was trying to access lostallhope after many years and found a SaSu thread talking about that site. Found out lostallhope is gone and saw the community and information here and liked the idea to finally have a place to talk. All the information is great too.

I found out about it through an article about it around 2 years ago when I was super super depressed. They did the whole "We are NOT going to name this website because people might find it!"

Literally one search later I found it lol. I was a lurker for a long time until I decided to actually make an account

I don't remember what I searched for exactly. I was totally desperate and ready to leave. But I found SaSu quickly and made an account the same night.

Same, I think I somehow ended up on some article about UK ofcom warning about it being pro-suicide etc. and that's when I was sold on it.
It is a macabre kind of irony that it seems the case the very same institutions that have committed themselves to prevention efforts are what drives most users here, both because they are uncompromising pro-life and condemning this site for not being like that.

idk if anyone remembers the youtuber Tantacrul who made a 4 hour video on sasu but i found it because i watched his channel and thought it was such a weird tone change from his usual videos

I watched a YouTube Video a while back about this website, I don't remember the name of the guy but I know it wasnt his usual subject to talk about. He didn't name this per se but used the acronym "SS". So I just googled "SS site" and it got me here after 3 or 4 goggle pages.
It its kinda funny that the more people talk about this place, criticizing or just informing, the more people will log on here, doing the contrary of what they want.

I was trying to find information on how to CTB after a laughably failed attempt. Then I found an article talking about this forum and it being pro suicide with a "step-by-step guides to killing yourself".
All I had to do was look up Suicide forum and it was the first thing that popped up.

The same as most people here, I was looking for methods on reddit, I found a post asking for advice on partial suspension hanging, then someone commented "you should ask this question on sanctioned suicide, not here"
This was the first time l've heard of it, I couldn't find it while looking it up on google, but then switched to bing and immediately found it

I found this site purely by chance, I was googling different suicide methods and their lethality and painlessness and came across the name of this site in a Reddit thread about about suicide via carbon monoxide poisoning and decided to look through some threads here and found some sense of comfort that there's so many other people who feel the same way I do
