Venting Horrible week in psych ward

Anyway update I'm STILL in the psychiatry but on a different ward now. It's much quieter and I am much more comfortable. A release date is scheduled, a followup plan is being put in motion and a concrete goal for therapy has been set! Yay :]
Also up to 48kg!

It's nice you are more confortable and having a goal is pretty important. I have to work on that too lol

A nurse here got annoyed and actually offended for me not "properly communicating" when I literally have a disability that makes it difficult to communicate for me

I have no idea how a psych ward works, but i legit don't understand how people that clearly don't have the patience and mind to handle mentally ill people are employed to work there. And also like if you don't have pacience just like..... Don't work in places like that.... It's not that hard (￣ ￣|||)

It's hard to define a goal when you were at a point that ending it seems feasible. For now I settled on things that would help me handle my daily life :]

And yeah I truly don't understand why such people stick with this job... It seems to make them miserable as well!

Oh wow, thanks for checking in. I appreciate it.

I'm feeling tired. Discharge was originally scheduled for yesterday, but I got an extension. I prepared an attempt at some point, my memory of it is kinda fuzzy. Got sent back to the closed ward for a few days.

But now I'm in the open ward again, I guess I'm holding up. Been looking into group homes for people with mental disabilities and may move into one after discharge in the 2nd week of April.

Staff have gotten used to me by now, there's a lot less misshaps. And MRI is scheduled for next week to make sure none of this is neurological. I'm just really tired after 5 months in a hospital.... And I'm kinda scared of what's next. I still want to die, but I don't want to kill myself.

I'm doing well, got course credit so don't have to do 2 subjects (and dropped them before they'd cost me)

I was also wondering how you got were getting on, glad to hear it's going okay.

It's a huge step moving from wanting to kill yourself to just wanting to die. I'm in the same place - I don't feel like I have much to live for but I don't have a burning urge to CTB. I hope for your sake the MRI shows it's something neurological and they can treat it.

The group home sounds like a great idea. My housemate's friend moved into one and she is loving it, she has made friends with some of the other residents and the staff so it's been great for her mental health. Living on her own was making her very depressed.

I hope your road to recovery keeps going in the right direction and remember it's never smooth. Sometimes you'll stumble or take a step back but that is natural. Just keep your head focused on recovery. Now if only I could practice what I preach . My internalised hypocrisy would make me an excellent Christian (if it wasn't for my absolute lack of faith).
