I'm gathering it was an accident in her case, right? No, but my mother (who passed a few years ago) did light herself on fire. She was saved, suffered severe burns and was in a burns unit for 8 months enduring painful skin-graft surgery. It sounds like an excruciating way to go. My mother ended up dying a painful death, due to cancer. Anyway, I think there are much better (and far less painful) ways to die than burning to death, to be honest.
I would not recommend that method, to ctb that way, one must be led by a burning desires. And if I might say, OUCHIE!
No, it was a deliberate attempt to end her life in her youth (before I was born). It was no accident. She also attempted to jump off a high-story building (before somebody pulled her back) before that. My mother had to endure a great deal of suffering in this hellhole. I could never compare my pain to hers.I'm gathering it was an accident in her case, right?
Yep, a Buddhist monk Thích Quảng Đức famously was set on fire in the 60's as a form of protest.is used as a means of protest
That's what the academics say. I don't believe everyone who does it is protesting.is used as a means of protest
not all, of courseThat's what the academics say. I don't believe everyone who does it is protesting.
