Jonathan Brandis. I fuckin loved SeaQuest. Prolly not many remember that show.
Omg, this!
Warning: Long, boring rant ahead. Just skip.

I do remember SeaQuest. And The Neverending Story II. And especially Sidekick. He was one of my first childhood crushes. Then, as a teen, I finally dared to watch the original Stephen King's IT and, with the means to use the internet, looked him up. I was so surprised to learn he had ctb. He was such a handsome young man.

I remember it was the onset of Alzheimer's which cascaded him to his passing. He was such a talented actor with great bandwidth. I guess he had a specific expectation of life, and anything less was unacceptable. So sad, indeed.

Shame he couldn't hang on for Netflix and Amazon TV, he would never be out of work. The original Stephen King film IT was much better than the remakes.

This should be in 'Share an unpopular opinion you have'.

I agree. I have seen a lot of in-depth analyses of both the films and I've seen both personally numerous times. While both have their pros and con, I personally like the original made-for-TV better as well.

I would imagine fame and fortune can in itself be isolating. Imagine not being able to do anything without being photographed and hounded by the press. People would be your "friend" because you were famous. All fake people just basking in your apparent glory. I for one would hate that.
I'm not at all surprised that famous people CTB It can be a very difficult life to lead.

Apparently if you have wealth, it doesn't mean you are happy. You can still not be pro-life.

I find the cases of Love Island so weird: they all look hot and are like super pro-lifers. Maybe there was too much competition on looking good and to have ambition/be succesful in their peer group

I think a lot of the problems with shows like Love Island your thrown into the spotlight you do well for a while appearing on breakfast shows and then you have celebrity dating and a few other shows to earn some money but unless your really lucky and talented you soon run out of options and it's a big shock having to look for work in other industries with less money as you soon get used to receiving big cheque's from appearance fee's'.

Anyway back to celebrity suicides, this one is from the USA but it still shocked me and it's really sad she left two young children behind because of eye surgery, she had complications and 7 weeks later committed suicide by hanging herself. There are 11 known suicides due to this eye surgery.

Kimi was from the same city of mine so I often saw him on TV or heard about his name during my childhood.. Despite not a direct fan of him, I had really good impression about him. When he chose to CTB, I was studying in US and the news really shocked me. Right after that I also attempted to CTB once or twice but was found by the campus police and sent to the psychology counseling center. (I had depression of probably to mild or moderate extent at that time, but after the family incident occurred this year, it directly grew into major depression and now had become incurable)

I can see how that would have affected you being away studying in America and reading all the stories from home to keep up to date and something tragic happens, it's all a front when they are entertaining people on stage as soon as they walk of that stage they are back to there normal life which can be filled with depression and addiction.

Didn't I read you were trying to get N from C but he wouldn't sell and send within his own Country there is a simple way around that set up a reshipping account so get it sent to the nearest Country outside China and they will ship it back to you.

Anyway back to celebrity suicides, Steve Bing very rich but couldn't live with the guilt of his girlfriend dying from a drugs overdose, just goes to show you money can't buy you happiness, didn't look like he spent huge amounts of cash on designer clothes either. but RIP

So im going with Chris Cornell who was found hanging, May 2017. So sad, found in his hotel room only like an hour after hed performed in concert for Soundgraden. Great voice, amazing on guitar, loved SoundGarden and Audioslave. Although he had been depressed apparently most of his life, this ws still a shock for me and especially so straight out of a concert. He must have been so hyped coming out of that concert so to suicide so soon after is hard to understand.

The other person i was shocked by would be Benjamin Keough, Elvis Presleys grandson.

Kate Spade. Now that was a shock. An iconic designer. She apparently wrote a suicide note to her 13 yrs old daughter. Wow I mean imagine as a 13yr old reading your mums suicide note to you. Apparently Kate Spade sold half of her business only 5yrs after starting it for about 35 million and then 10yrs after that sold another 49% i think for a further 60 million, then sometime last year, after the entire company which had previously been bought by Niemans (I think), sold out for 2.4 Billion. Kate Spade was starting a second line but how much it was worth, I dont think anyone knows, but apparently not the success of Kate Spade her original company. Hard lessons when you cash out too early. I wonder if that had anything to do with why she hung herself.
Sometimes when I see such successful people like this who have made a name for themselves who then suicide, i find it hard to understand. It seems like they have everything. I mean she was incredibly wealthy, she wouldnt have had to put up with all the media attention in the same way that you would as an actor, so I wouldnt have thought that the stress of notoririty would have been too much of an issue, who knows? And it is only ever people with money (in my mind anyway) that ever say, money doesnt make you happy. It sure as hell helps, that much I know.

Im not wealthy by any means, but I do think that having money would make a big difference to my life. I would not have to think about where the money is coming from to pay the next insurance bill for instance. I could travel around the world. If I decided to drop over to the UK to visit a friend i could just jump on a plane and do it. I also quite like the idea of being a bit of a philanthropist. I would love to make it my job to give money to people that really need it. I would have such a blast doing that. I cannot imagine that I would be so depressed and suicidal if i had sufficient funds to do that.

Yes, exactly. Kimi's departure in some sense worsened my depression and made me become more suicidal at that time. I remember calling the Dignitas and some euthanasia institution in Oregon but they said I was too young... I know. I have friends who are celebrities. I understand the pain they endure behind the scenes.

Yes, that was me :-) I see.... Reshipping is indeed a good idea. Is this the same concept as forwarder services? The only concern I have is I'm in fear that the reshipper will open my parcel and find out that's N... What can I do to minimize the potential risk I might encounter in the process? Or do you know some reliable reshipper brands that can ship my country?

I found this interesting article about it strange she the money to Jagger who has plenty and none to the family.

I don't know for sure, but I reckon Mick had invested in her fashion house and perhaps she felt she owed it to him. She'd been having something like a creative block (was this part of Kate Spade's situation too?) and had cancelled her London Fashion Week show; then some very shitty tabloid gossip started when she didn't go to Australia to accompany the Stones tour that was about to start. I think her family was quite horrid toward Mick. He seemed to genuinely care for her, and he can't help it that he's Mick Jagger.

We have them in every Country but has a celebrity suicide really shocked you. You imagine they have the perfect life, plenty of money, fame, beautiful men and women as partners, luxury properties, flash cars and lots of parties and friends.

There has been a few but I will just mention the prodigy star Keith Flint, it was a shock but later reported he had very large debts, but still a bit baffled as he was about to go on tour and earn a ton of cash.

If you are going to use a reshipping forwarding company why not order about 6 small items and ask them to hold all of them and ship in one box so you could say please ship when I have received 7 items that way it may not look so suspicious even if an item came from your own Country. You could setup a PO Box in another close Country and send it there then take a trip over to collect it or send it back home to yourself

@Smudgedlines
I don't know, do you think Steve Bing actually committed suicide because he couldn't live with the guilt of his girlfriend dying from an overdose maybe he introduced her to the drugs only speculating but it's not the first time something what seems fun turns to tragedy

@StellaArtoix
Well he had Elvis Presleys looks but did he have the the singing talent I heard he was in a band but I never heard him sing Benjamin Keough, Elvis Presleys grandson maybe the pressure got to him everyone expecting him to be a great singer but the family said they understood why he did it

@Soul
Probably bang on target, Mick Jagger probably invested a lot of time and money helping her and if it never went to plan, depression could have taken it's toll

Very interesting the people you mentioned above were all very rich and quite famous at some point in there life and yet CTB early for different reasons, I must admit would be great having hundreds of millions of pounds and would solve a lot of problems but that just opens the door to more complex problems celebrities and multi millionaires deal with,

Another big shocker for me was Jeffrey Epstein a billionaire pedophile with all his money and powerful connections I was surprised we even got to hear his name let a lone being arrested and charged for his sick crimes and whats even more interesting they are starting to release snipits from his black book whitch will show all his high society and powerful friends.

After committing all these nasty crimes they still remained friends with him, I wonder why, :smiling: :smiling: :smiling: .

Chester Bennington. I never cared about celebrity deaths until him. Everyone knew he struggled but I never ever thought he would actually kill himself.
I completely understand what you mean. Three years on and I still feel disbelief! Can't watch videos without immense sadness. It's strange because I can usually rationalise these situations but his death is the one I can't let go

Tom Petty's death stunned me. I guess it was ruled an accident rather than suicide but I believe his daughter conceded that it could have been deliberate.

I wasn't a huge Heartbreakers fan but I enjoyed the Travelling Wilburys a lot, and Tom Petty was an enormously likeable person, and one who stood up for right things.

I'm no expert but I read the cause of death and there was fentanyl and other traces of opioids in his system but no heroin mentioned, they never said he needed them for pain management so it looks suspicious, he left a big chunk of money to his next of kin.
