I was going to do it without testing the purity, but the thought of it not being Nitrite has got me worried and that worry keeps growing.

I also have to help my Twin mow our Mother's lawn.

I'll either do it tonight or sometime in the morning on Tuesday.

Opened it up quickly, used a 1/2 teaspoon spoon to take out some SN, and put it in water fountain water.

Waited a bit then took an aquarium test strip and put it in.

Here is the bottle and the test strip:


Anyone who's done this before, can you tell me if the purity is high?

Sodium nitrite is very very stable, no reason to doubt it's purity, it's a very cheap salt to produce.
