I don't believe in an afterlife. So, I don't think this comment matters to you, but I'm still writing it because it might matter to someone reading, as your posts mattered to me when I was reading. I've got Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), too, and I don't think we're failures. Statistically, suicide is our common fate because people usually don't understand our conditions. Everyone is unique, but no one is too different. You see, I'll go in peace because I believe there will be others with the same vision as us, and eventually, those dreams will manifest through their contributions. Because that's what matters in the long term. I knew my body wouldn't last long, and I felt sad because so adorable souls were imprisoned in this body. I found peace in the probability that there would be new bodies with new identities but with the same vision. And hopefully, in a new era where people better understand us. As for this body, I accepted non-existence and felt content.
