I remember it vividly, when Mercy texted me on sasu, asking if my profile picture was from Chainsaw Man. That simple question sparked a conversation about anime, and we became close friends ever since. What struck me the most about him was his kindness because I repeatedly saw how he helped so many people on sasu, going out of his way to do everything he could for them. He had the type of kindness you rarely see in people these days. He was always there to uplift my mood and support me whenever I needed it. I was always advised by him to stay away from the site because I "have a lot left to live for." He was genuinely the kind of friend we all want in our lives. A day before he disappeared, he was showing me his book collection. I never would have imagined he had CTB planned for the next day.
Mere hours before disappearing on September 25th, he texted me asking why sasu wasn't working. I wish I had been more vigilant and could have stopped him from taking such a step. He didn't deserve it. He had a lot left to live for, too. His friends and family miss him so much. It is soul-crushing to see how devastated his family is after his passing. He was so loved. I hope he knows how much we miss him.
Everyone who knew Mercy has only ever had good things to say about him, because that's how he was, kind and genuine. He was always there to calm me, whether I was stressed about an exam, nervous for an interview, or just sitting alone anxious in a restaurant somewhere. I'll eternally be grateful for his support.
On November 11th, his sister confirmed that he had passed and it remains one of the worst days ever for me and everyone else close to him.
We love you and miss you so much, Mercy. I hope we can meet in the afterlife.
