hi, my first post. being autistic is the worst thing. living while being autistic just doesn't make any sense. sometimes i think about stabbing my brain with a stick in hopes of becoming normal. i envy dumb people. i've always wondered if i receive brain damage through oxygen starvation, will i become happy? what do you think it feels like? i wanna hear the science please.

i dont think brain damage will cause one to become happy and it might be very tough to predict what exactly will happen to you when you try anything like that. i dont know the science of it but i think stuff with brain damage can be really hard to predict. like that guy who got a pole through his brain and was fine but was said to have become more unkind? when many other people who got brain injuries had all different things happen to them instead. being autistic is really rough. i am autistic too and it makes things very difficult and i do wish there was a way to change it but i dont think there really is.

I'm not going to get into what being "dumb" really is or isn't, but people you perceive as dumb people might appear outwardly happy but they live at the mercy of fate more than anyone. Predictably bad things might happen to them and they won't understand why it happened and no way to solve it by themselves, they might become quite miserable with no way out like anyone else. And brain damage won't make you "dumb", it'll just give you brain damage. As far as I'm concerned the most important aspect of happiness is luck, you can be lucky and unhappy, but to be happy you must have luck on your side.

I don't know how it is to be autistic, but I do know someone with brain dramage. I can't provide the science but maybe the experience can also help you.
From what I've seen, dealing with brain damage is really hard, because you know very well you can't trust your own brain anymore. You are constantly second gussing yourself or forgetting things that used to be important to you or not being able to handle situations like cooking a simple meal. It hurts so much because you know what you lost, you know what you were able to do before, but can't do that anymore.

I would advice against that,
I have brain damage from sepsis
and a lot of medication,
as a result,
I have even more problems than before
