I'm genuinely so tired of everything, I always feel like I'm running behind. I lack hope for the future. I always feel guilty of my same sex attraction. I lack hope of actually finding a loving partner. I feel like I'm the dumbest in my semester, I study in the health field and I don't think people should trust on me with their lives, as I can barely take care of my own (I mean, I want to end my own)
I'm so tired of this, I want it to end, I want it to end now. I can't think straight, I might as well just jump from the sixth floor of my apartment complex (I know it's low and has a low chance of success, but I don't have any other reliable options, and I guess dealing with SI regarding jumping is easily)
My life is better than most people, but saying that to me, and saying to me that I should be grateful only makes it worse, I feel even more guilty and desire to end my life quicker

I'm in a four-year Bachelor's plan for engineering and I'm in my 5th year lol. And still have another to go. I get awkward when people ask me what year of college I'm in or "if I'm almost" done. I even lie to my classmates (mostly juniors) about what year I am and how old I am. So I definitely feel you big time on the "feeling like the dumbest in my field" part. But yes, life gets progressively more miserable. Against my own wishes, I wake up every day more hopeless and defeated than before. I've even lost hope that I'll ever achieve the one thing I do want in life, death. Not joking, I'm halfway convinced that I'm cursed with immortality because death just can't seem to find its way to me. I think that even plays into why I'm not man enough to take matters into my own hands. I'm afraid that very same curse is so real that I'll survive any attempt I make on my own life, and be much worse off for eternity. I just want to get to the end and vanish into nothingness. Anyway, I wish peace for you, OP, however you may find it. Same for anyone else reading this.

The way I was raised, the place I live, and most of the people I've ever been around and had around me have all made me feel incredibly unsafe and unaccepted and are why I remain closeted. There was a time where I was really struggling with accepting myself and my identity. I understand exactly what you mean. I had become very accepting and supportive of queer people years before I figured things out for myself... yet when I did, and the realizations/epiphanies started hitting me like fucking freight trains, I threw up. A couple times. It was world shattering. I feel guilty for reacting like that. I felt guilty for being what I am. It took a long time of introspection, learning, thinking, and interacting with other queer people before I felt confident in myself. Not just what I figured out, but for the first time in my entire life, confident as a person and who I am. I felt so much tension and stress melt away.

I think the fact that you are worried about people trusting you with their life can be a good sign. It shows that you care about them and their wellbeing. I don't think you are alone, even in that field, feeling that way. I think it can be something that drives you, makes you more empathetic, maybe even more careful. Being hyper-critical of yourself is a difficult and unpleasant thing, but far, far better than the opposite. Narcissism. Telling you to be easier on yourself isn't going to do much and doesn't change anything, but you should still do it. You're being more judgmental of yourself than you are towards other people or most people are towards you. I struggle with this.

If CTB, or attempting it, is always an option, the least you can do for yourself is accept yourself. You don't have to love everything about you, nobody is perfect, I've made horrible, horrible, unforgiveable mistakes myself... but the only person in the entire world who will ever look out for you and truly care for you, is you. People come and go, you will always be with you. I hate myself, I beat myself up a lot, I think and arguably know how worthless and pathetic I am. I choose to love the good things about myself like my love for animals, the art I love to make, and my desire to make other people happy and entertain them.

I'm going to CTB, I still hate myself, I'm still not a good person, and I still don't have much if any value, but I can do what I guess most people do and focus on the good things. I'm just another person, very few if any unique thoughts or feelings even if they are rare, so the least I can do for myself is be happy for the good things.

I don't know if this is making a whole lot of sense at this point or if it's even remotely helpful or just vacuous bullshit, but it's what I think and how I try to operate. The things that are neutral or good should be appreciated for being that, while I also accept all the bad things and do what I can to fix or change them if it's possible or feasible. Can't take back the things I've done, I can choose not to do them again. Can't magically fix my health or mental health problems, but I'm glad to have a creative mind at least. Can't force the world or people around me to be decent and not bigoted pieces of shit, but I can accept myself and love that it makes me more unique (and arguably more interesting lol) as well as the awesome communities/figures it has lead me to out of necessity.

I'm sorry that you're in pain, and it's always hard not to compare yours to that of others... but you can't do that. You just can't do that. Your pain, your experience, your situation, your circumstances, your past, your history, everything is completely different from every other human being on earth. Maybe some people have it "worse" but are thriving because they don't have the trauma, or mental health issues, or family issues, or whatever else that you don't have. Your pain is your pain, your limit is your limit. Some people are always more willing to criticize themselves and diminish their own pain and suffering when they wouldn't do that to other people. Who is the only person who will truly look after you and truly care about your well-being again? It's you. Maybe a little ironic considering the topic of CTB... but I think many people here would agree that could be considered of looking out for your own well-being.

If this existence is so agonizing for you as an individual, no matter what the circumstances are, then that's just how it is. I am very happy for people who are stronger and more capable than me. I'm glad they don't have to feel and struggle these ways. I just wish they would be empathetic towards me in return. The only person who always can be is yourself. I talk all this, but it's not like I do an amazing job at it. I'm just hoping maybe something I'm saying makes sense to someone and helps them in some way. I also hope you find some peace in some form.

I'm glad that you answered me this. I truly am.
And, tbh, I'm not feeling that miserable. I'm not in immense amounts of pain it's just, I don't see a reason to live you know? I don't find stuff appealing, I don't find life appealing. Life tastes to me like plain rice does, you know?
And I also think to myself a lot about philosophy and stuff and, coming from a Christian household/point of view, I still can't think of a way where life is a "gift" (which also explains my immense guilt of being a lesbian)
It's still hard tho, to not judge me harder, I feel like it's unfair if I give me the benefit of the doubt, I always judge myself to the highest standards cause, if I don't ,I feel like I'm lying to myself, and I hate lying more than anything.
I guess I am being a hypocrite now, but I just can't help but feel a immense unnerving feeling from reading your words "I am going to ctb"
It's weird right? I'm fine with killing myself, but I don't want others to do the same. I'm such a hypocrite, and I'm sorry, but I just can't help it
It's like sick people trying to help sick people, and yet the sick don't wanna be helped.
Anyways, I do not know your story, neither your motivation to ctb, but I really hope you find peace somewhere else other then death, again, I am being hypocritical, but I just can't help myself, I can't, I just can't wish for someone's death, I'm so so sorry.
I really want you to be happy and achieve peace, and I wish that for all of us
You seem like such a sweet, sweet person, and it's so sad that life has treated you like this, it truly is.
I wish for all of us, to achieve peace, in the best way possible
Take care of you too, buddy

Omg so this is a university thing, holy crap.
So it's pretty much a machine made to make us feel inferior to our peers and gets fed by our suicidal ideation
I wish peace for you too buddy, for all of us

Yes. I 100% understand what you mean. I'm not always in or experiencing lots of pain or active suffering that makes me want to CTB, sometimes it's that same feeling of life being completely unappealing and unpalatable. I don't see a reason to live either. The things I enjoy and love or love about about myself are just things to distract me. Sometimes they don't work and aren't enough. That's how I know life isn't worth it.

Right now I'm thinking of how much I hate my shitty, stupid, inconsiderate, scummy neighbors. I don't know if I'm being harassed or something, but everyday someone hits my bedroom wall (the other side of it is the hallway) and there's a group of pieces of shit that like to hang out around there on the stairs late at night yelling and slamming things, including my bedroom wall. I'm probably going to freak out soon. I hope my CTB causes everyone here misery and inconvenience.

I judge myself really harshly too. I either give 100% or I give 0% because if I don't do it right and do it well, then I shouldn't do it. When I don't do things, it shows worthless I am. If I can't give 100%, then I'm a failure.

I don't wish others to kill themselves either, I wish they could be happy, I wish I could be happy, but when there only seems to be one option... I don't know. I just hope that it works and goes smoothly. I want less suffering, even if that means CTB, because it may be unfortunate, but less suffering is less suffering. I hate suffering. I don't want other people to suffer needlessly or unjustly. It's also often that those who need help are the most willing to offer it. It's called empathy. Another thing that's going extinct like Critical Thinking. We are in the Golden Age of Narcissism witnessing the death of Empathy.

I appreciate your kind words (though I may not agree with your view of me), and I agree with your wish for all of us to achieve peace in the best way possible. It just seems that for many people, CTB is that only option. If only the world was a better place, humans weren't such shitty creatures, and empathy was a universal human trait and not a rare one.

For those who have the potential to be genuinely happy and have the resilience to deal with the bullshit of existence without being defeated by it, I hope they keep living. I wish for suffering to end. The amount of suffering in the world is too much for me to bear. I can't even fathom a lot of it, or how bad much of it truly is... but it still makes me feel sick and miserable. I can think of my suffering, not compare it to diminish it, but to think, "Wow, I don't want to be alive, and this is all I have to put up with compared to countless more people?? Why do they want to be alive??" I wish they didn't suffer, and I hope they find enough happiness in life that makes it hard for them to understand my point of view. I'm a hypocrite too. I fucking hate human beings, I hate humanity, I judge others, but I sincerely and deeply wish to reduce the suffering of others.

The fact that there is such incalculable suffering and less than nothing I can do about it is one of my main reasons for wanting to CTB.

There are a lot of shows and movies I can't watch because watching that imaginary suffering and knowing that there are real people experiencing it, or often much worse, makes me so sick to my stomach. I've had mental breakdowns over it before. I've gone through periods where I didn't sleep for multiple nights in a row. I don't know what to do, I don't know how to cope, and I'm pretty sure I can't and it's all hopeless. If humanity still underwent Natural Selection, I would've been culled. I can't function and I don't deserve to live. I don't deserve to live because of my issues, my incompetence, and some of the things I've done in my past. I can lie to myself and entertain the ideas that my art or my kindness make the world a better place, but they don't. I don't even share most of it. Most of it has never been seen or heard by the eyes or ears of other people. I've been isolated for so long, what the fuck does being polite in a super brief interaction with a service industry worker matter? I don't add anything to the world. I'm a burden, but I'm not even a burden on other people. I have no one close to me, I have no one that loves me, and I have no one that wants to be around me. I must be pretty sweet, huh?
