I consider myself an average/normal person. I've received compliments that I'm a good looking guy but I don't really agree. I'm sure having cosmetic surgery (or taking the hard road of accepting my imperfections) would improve my mental health at least a little bit. I'm ashamed to go out in the street.

What about you?

If you consider yourself to be, you probably are average which isn't inherently a bad thing at all. If you're inclined to do all you can to improve your mental state, I recommend an exercise routine at the very least. This isn't at all a perfect solution to all your problems, but it does significantly improve attractiveness relative to whatever you currently look like. Though in truth, other than close friends, family, and your SO, no one really cares what you look like, no point in feeling ashamed for it imo.

Regardless, I hope some of that helped a bit, much love friend.

I used to consider myself ugly and hated myself for it, but I don't know why or when ,I learned to accept myself, not that I'm looking better now.

You shouldn't be ashamed to go out in public, even if you're ugly. But certainly being normal you shouldn't have any worries. You should be happy in your own skin. I feel content when I dress up and make an effort with hygiene etc. Definitely don't do cosmetic surgery, it won't change anything. It'll just cost a small fortune and could leave you disfigured. Often cosmetic surgery makes people ugly. Don't do it! Learn not just to accept yourself, but love yourself

Its just anxiety and/or depression that gives these bad feelings about yourself. I have the same. If you were enjoying life you would feel very differently i think

Not really. The way that I see it, it's disgusting being trapped in this flesh prison no matter what I were to look like. The thing that I hate is being conscious and aware, and also how the human body can physically torture us so much. I think that cosmetic surgery is done by incredibly self obsessed people who don't wish to accept the reality of ageing, where we exist only to deteriorate and decay from old age. There could never be anything attractive about this vile flesh prison no matter what people say.

I feel average or within that range, my friends say I'm slightly above average and I guess that's nice, but from my own view I don't agree fully. I know I'm probably good enough for most people, but I still continiously get cosmetic work done here and there in the form of surgery and injections. I've decided that I will only have 1 more cosmetic surgery to fix the only thing that really bothers me and then I will just continue to stick to injections every few years.

I am in treatment to enjoy life but my appearance "obstructs" this. Not totally but it is a variable.

I've always hated the way I look for one reason or another. It's definitely contributed to the negative feelings I have about myself

My physical appearance which is correlated to my dysphoria is why I am here.

Yes and no. In a vacuum, I think I look quite good.
Then I remember everyone who sees me is instantly going to see me as a girl. Just because I enjoy having long hair or wearing things like skirts or painting my nails occasionally.

Not our fault that feminine clothing tends to look and feel better lol.
exactttly, female sections of clothing stores are usually multiple times bigger than the men's section

This as well. Also so much more color and diversity. Men's clothes tend to be quite drab if there's even color at all. Dark colors, black, grey, white. No fun designs or patterns, really. I like to feel cute and wear all colors of the rainbow. A little ironic considering what goes in my head.
When I have the energy, I like to dress "scene", you know, people who are trapped in the 2000s-2010s. People don't take too kindly to alternative people though. But I've had a few compliment me. :)

Despite what people say, you can wear whatever you'd like. A piece of cloth shouldn't and doesn't determine sexuality or gender. If you enjoy feminine clothing, good on you. You have wonderful tastes and I'm sure you look great. Keep wearing what you love.

I think a lot of people are afraid of interrupting people's days. Especially if you live in a bigger city. Everyone's in their own business, and everyone assumes you don't want to be bothered.
I made a friend who eventually told me she was trying desperately to compliment me but I couldn't hear her in the halls when I was in high school, so she gave up. It makes me wonder if that's happened before or again.

I used to be shy about telling others I enjoyed their outfits. Now I try to go out of my way to give them if I am impressed. It wasn't long ago I complimented someone with rubber duck earrings. I saw another with a mushroom hat I complimented. Whether or not it made an impact on their day, it doesn't really matter. But if it did, then I did my job.
Even smiling at someone else can make someone's day a little brighter I think. It feels like the world has become more isolated in hopes that someone doesn't tick someone off just in case or be seen as a creep.
I'd rather risk a stranger thinking I'm a creep that I'll likely never meet again to potentially make someone's day just a little bit better. It's a good mindset to have in my opinion.
