Thanks for response, curious as to the neurological differences between N2 and Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas)

Nitrogen gas is biologically inert. Nitrous oxide functions as an nmda receptor antagonist (same family as ketamine)

It should not; but some forum members who have conducted trials did mention some euphoria.

I wonder if, for those who did, their trials failed to sufficiently deplete the oxygen. If Nitrous oxide creates euphoria but nitrogen doesn't, is oxygen the critical factor?

Any euphoria that comes from Nitrogen at standard temperature and pressure is solely due to oxygen deprivation. Nitrous oxide's euphoria (and hallucinations/dissasociative effects) is completely unrelated to oxygen or nitrogen
