I haven't had it formally diagnosed, but I think so. My last therapist thought I did as I often describe myself as not just unattractive, but properly grotesque and deformed.
The problem with this is while I know that rationally it could just be a disorder of my mind, I feel like I genuinely am grotesque and therefore rather than having an illness I am just how I perceive myself. I then get embarrassed even entertaining the idea that I have BDD when actually I'm deluding myself and the reality is that I'm just horrific.
