Does anyone else have a black powder pistol?

I'm wondering if anyone does any practice to prepare themselves for ctb - I just got a muzzle loader and am familiarizing myself with it

also I'm curious if it's safe to dry fire or how yall go about it, I don't want to harm the mechanics of the gun.

I've been having trouble getting percussion caps so I need some way to ignite the black powder in the chamber.

I was curious if a lighter would be able to ignite through the nipple, idk what to do. Fedex couldn't find my address and I called them 3 times to get it fixed now they want me to come pick it up but it's already been a week
