We are our brains. When the brain stops, the person stops. I see no reason to think our consciousness will somehow teleport somewhere else without the brain.
There's a quote by Mark Twain that resonates with me. It's "I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it."
I personally think there's nothing after death. But sometimes I'm not sure. This quote just helps me fear it less, I suppose.

Totally agree.
The moment the brain stop we stop to everyrthing (think, feel..etc). Also i don't like the posibility of an afterlife, it make me feels unconfortable.
