My friends dropped off awhile ago and might not even find out. My relatives won't be surprised, and they'll only be upset to the extent that the aftermath inconveniences them.

I attempted suicide immediately after moving to this new city earlier in the year. I don't think anyone would be surprised that I'd try again, but people may be surprised that it worked this time (and it will).

I plan to break up with my partner before then, and I'm not particularly socially active anyway, although I do have friends. My family probably won't know until a bit after it happens, as they're quite a distance from me now. Nobody will care though, and their lives will inevitably keep going... or not, I'll be dead and won't care.

Nope. Everyone except my Twitter moots (I'm new-ish to the platform) is familiar with my trauma and psychiatric history, and I have like six attempts in my history.

No one would he shocked. I have been an open book about my struggles with mental health, although no one understands it.

Definitely , everyone I know underestimated my struggles and think they don't affect me but when I do they would know the reason is my medical condition and the struggles , bullying and embarrassment associated with it

Depends, I talked to one of my two friends about how I didn't see my own death negatively a couple days after I thought about CTB and wanted to know her viewpoint on the matter, she did and we talked a bit so yeah, she probably would be half-surprised since she doesn't know that it's only goal I have in life now

My father, grandma, as well as most other acquaintances defo would be though, I'm great at masking my emotions, had to learn to due to other things, unrelated to that

One of these acquaintances though clocked it immediately when I offered him one of my most prized possession, he went "are you ok?", telling me that people usually part ways with stuff they're so attached to when they plan on moving, marrying someone or CTB so yeah, maybe if he's not too busy one day and checks my discord bio where I'll heavily hint at it, he'll know...hope he won't feel bad over not trying to stop me or something...

Oh yeah, everyone will be surprised. I tend to keep to myself and am very good at keeping secrets.

I think there are things that people will see in hindsight that they know about now but haven't connected the dots with yet. Like, I'm very quiet, asocial, barely smile, weird, never been in a relationship, make the very occasional suicide joke.

Will people really be surprised that the quiet kid that always sat alone in the corner and never spoke killed himself?

Yes. Although I've been dissociated a lot lately - I cut off my close friends, deactivated my accounts, not replying to messages, etc - I don't blatantly say to them that I will kill myself. I just told them that I'm tired.

My family will be devastated for sure, not because I'm dead, but because of the embarrassment of suicide.

I'm openly alchoholic since my teens. My family, friends know this so if they will be surprised they are really stupid. Other than that I'll be propably the talk at work for like a day or two and they forget about me

I think people will be split on this - half will be surprised, half won't. I also think the girls at New Mail might be a bit shocked - I've shipped around 200 books over the past six months. Something like that.

I kept traces of my past suicide attempts: a broken lamp, deep red marks on my neck. My mum and boyfriend know everything, and they are extremely anxious. They'll be shocked, extremely hurt but not surprised.

The few people that where left. I am not sure. The only one I feel sorry for is my oldest brother, who I rarely see. But he is struggling with depression and HSP too. He has a wife and two children with one obviously neurodivergent, my nephews look up at me. I think they will be surprised.

A few friends will be surprised.

A lot of people think I am the toughest in the friend group and even outside, but I cant live with this level of loneliness and loss of self dragging me deeper. Also I think you have to be though to kill yourself and accept your stuck.

Some will be surprised. But I am relieved my mum, dad and middle brother are dead, they would have been devastated. That s why i did not go for it 13 years ago with N. It landed me in prison and to keep going on and not be helped or understood made me an angry person back then.

This time that wont happen.

I've hinted at it many times. I'm sure it will come as a surprise though yes. Overall my life isn't that bad. I have a lot of issues going on but the biggest one is that I'm stupid and my own worst enemy. I think most people will be more surprised that I had the ability to go through with it, if I do. We'll see.

To be honest, I don't really know if my relatives realize that I've actually had CTB attempts, but I guess they'd be more surprised that it actually happened, rather than that it happened at all

Nobody will be surprised. I have had severe mental health conditions for two decades. Severe depression since 2006 and diagnosed by two psychiatrists with severe OCD/GAD/SAD in 2014. Have not been able to work since 2016 and a recipient of Disability Support Pension since 2017 (live in Australia). Have mentioned my wish to die for years now.

to me nothing that happens after I die matters

1 microsecond after my brain dies or is destroyed I won't exist and will never exist again

150 years from today every human alive now will be dead and forgotten
I hope hell is real and just you go there..would be lowkey hella funny.
