Death by Jägermeister (possible method)

A man has died by drinking a bottle of Jägermeister in under two minutes. More information is available on this page.

It's unclear how much liquid the bottle contained, but from what I can gather, the liquid comes in various amounts, ranging from 18 cl or 6,1 oz - to 175 cl or 59,2 oz. The bottle in the video in that article looks like it could be the 70 cl or 23,7 oz variant, and the alcohol percentage is 35 %, which means that he drank 24,5 cl or 8,3 oz of alcohol.

If you wish to go this route, you can use this as inspiration - and for those who don't drink, you can use this as a cautionary tale on how dangerous alcohol can be.

I'm not much of a drinker and lack a taste for the stuff myself, but I do have an early memory of blacking out with first time alcohol use (I did not realize that downing a water bottle of vodka as fast as I could-to get past the taste-was a poor idea..I was young) and it makes me wonder what passing away in that manner would be like..

I personally would not chance it, I wonder what the risk of survival w/brain damage would be.

Yes, the question of accidental bodily harm remains. I mean, the liver could, perhaps, take massive damage.

However, there may have been circumstances involved that the article doesn't mention. For example, the person could also have used lethal drugs just before drinking the Jägermeister, which could have been the actual cause of death - we may never know.

he died from alcohol poisoning, a route ive debated and still do. with my small size 120/5"4 and ED, it would have to be easier for me. recently thought of a way that would probably make it easier too

I'm not a drinker myself, if you've already tried other substances, alcohol is the last thing. Overdose of alcohol or insulin is really not a pleasant death, then I love to jump from a great height or hang myself as death by alcohol

wow this drinking challenge reminds me of the necknomination (absolutely dont know if it's the same word in English, since it comes from english i guess so)

few years ago many teens did that and i think there were few deaths but im not sure. the challenge consisted in drinking an entire bottle of vodk as quick as possible, to post the video on facebook and to challenge friends to do that. pretty much a stupid challenge though maybe i should have had done it lol

yes look around on youtube there are many videos where people drink a whole bottle, beah not my thing then you get headaches you feel bad and puke

if you want to die accidentally then take acid or H or coke smoke a joint and go for a walk across the roofs

That drinking game, indeed, sounds very stupid from a safety perspective, but yeah, it could work for our purposes.

Alcohol poisoning is quite common among youngsters in Indonesia, it happens by accident from mixing beer and alcohol 70% or denatured alcohol (ethanol/spiritus) to get the drank effect. Not recommended.

It seems like the brain and heart simply can't handle such an unreal amount of alcohol at the same time, so the body just shuts down.

If you want to know, no need to damage your liver. The PPH has a paragraph on it. Or you can guess, given that alcohol is very readily available and still not what the PPH recommends.

This was in South Africa--It was a contest to win money--It was definitely not intended--He drank a whole bottle in 2 minutes---Similar thing happened to one of the J Paul Getty heirs long ago--He filmed himself drinking an entire bottle of something alcoholic, passed out and woke up permanently blind
