Daily Vent MEGATHREAD Idea

Since most of us are feeling bad as fuck on a daily basis, I was thinking about a "Daily Vent" or "Daily Venting" thread in which we could (not necessarily) say in a couple of words what's fucked up on that specific day. Idk

How about it? It may bring us a sense of communion and relief

I think this could be helpful but not very productive to be honest it kinda like dwelling on issues and while seeing a bunch negativity from other about their day also. just a whole bunch of agreeing and clapping that yeah life is terrible for you…seems arbitrary and fruitless if you ask me. Maybe a appreciation post might be a little helpful to idk lighten the mood like one thing just one that actual made you day bareable or something that lifted your mood just a little. Feel like that would make more of impact others pointing out something that made the giggle or smile to take away from the constant pain of their are living in. Idk just a thought.

We've already made a thread in Recovery for that purpose. It's called "Recovery Pact Peer Support Megathread" and it's one of the pinned threads as of today. You're welcome to join if you want to

I was thinking about this thread in a different way, cause not everyone wants to recover, or at least not right now. I was thinking of it as being a way shorter alternative to the individual threads where everybody could vent in a few words, but doing it daily, in a more coagulated way if you will.

It might make us feel less alone seing so many of struggling, on a daily basis, sharing, relating, and doing more efficiently than in invididual threads. + venting + the relief associated to what I've been exposing.

As I see it, people already vent in individual posts in the forum so this wouldn't create more negativity so much as, like OP says, save people the effort of making their own posts if their vent is small. Plus it could act as a kind of daily lounge.

Implies less effort (thread title, content), it would be easier to access if we make a thing out of it, and keeps us more united in ways we all need right now.

Maybe you just feel like saying "fuck life"
Or "kill me" or whatever, you know?

Or just a plain "Help!"

The idea came to me while thinking about the other thread. I was thinking how can we make the ones who don't wanna recover or just can't recover feel better?

And I was thinking maybe a thread like this would bring us together even more, feeling seen, heard, validated, idk

Cause even if you wanna CTB it doesn't help if you're a total fucking wreck or not functioning at all.

Lord…This is literally a section of people constantly talking and planning their death and explaining the reasons why, what's the point to adding to more misery, I am saying take that idea and probably tweak it a little but since there is already constant venting it's probably reassuring to know that even if you do plan to commit cbt soon without no possible way to recover in those last moments there are people experiencing the same thoughts and plan as you to be able to point something small that day and say wait that's was actual okay whether it be I saw a ducking butterfly today land on the rope I was going buy or some shit. It can cause people who are in this state such as myself to look back at they and recognize a slither of positive that is still present in that moment of today.Because speaking from a person who will die literally in a few days the last thing I would want when I'm already thinking about my problems all day everyday from the time I wake up on constant loop cycle is to feel another constant despair by "releasing problems" to be like oh that sucked today let me post about it only to see others posting about what sucked today for them. It can become even more depressing for a person if they see somebody struggling worse than them too. I People should have a safe space to vent of courseee, which I feel like is very much already promoted on this section why include a mega thread to highlight the shit. Like I said it seems unproductive but to each it's own ig.

Everyone will just have to decide on their own. I see what you're saying and respect what you're saying, but I maintain my opinions about the advantages and efficiency of a megathread

But I also think it's a very good idea.
I really don't think it will affect people negatively, on the contrary.
