• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I'm wondering how events in US are affecting people's mental health here. For me my CTB reasons are about financial hopelessness and not wanting to experience what's to come. But fear and worry about other US policy changes make me all the more confident I don't want to stick around. It's not the main reason, but it adds to the hopelessness.

Is anyone here thinking about what's going on in the US as part of their journey? Or are most of us just dealing with our day-to-day?

Having lived in Europe for a while now, it makes me realize how far behind we are in terms of Healthcare and other social systems. It really is sad to see things appearing to get worse too, with the state of the current American events

Absolutely. The fact that it can and possibly will get worse really have me scouring websites for SN lately. I was not born to struggle under a corrupt government with idiots who consistently vote for said corrupt government.

The economic situation and constant erosion of social services and civil rights leave me with very little hope for the future. Even though things in my life are okay right now, I'm excruciatingly aware of how fragile things are and how fast things can change for the worse. I'm sticking around out of hope that my partner and I can earn our degrees and emigrate somewhere with better social supports but I'm still feeling hopeless almost constantly.

Agreed. It's not my main reason, by any means, but it sure does make me feel a lot more hopeless about my situation

Good luck! Getting your degrees and starting a life somewhere new sounds so hopeful
