• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I think that authorities anywhere, government, corporate or otherwise, are people like you and me who have, by sheer luck or nepotism, been granted arbitrary privilege. In many cases, they're less equipped to contend with their duties than you or I might be. They take themselves too seriously and think that by virtue of being in authority, they are somehow authoritative. So if they aren't giving us the straight dope on the covid biz, it's probably just because they're idiots and not out of any kind of malice.

I do think the economy - the whole freaking thing from east to west and north to south - is going to go belly up before too long. This experiment in advanced industrial civilization has to collapse eventually so whatever comes next can start rolling along. It's entropy in action. I'm not really looking forward to having to live through it, though. I'm in the states, and it's already a three-ring circus here.
I think the Dunning Kruger effect plays a large part too.
