I read on Stan's thread it is legal to own in all countries. Then I read elsewhere you need some sort of import licence for it, and, that there's a possibility that if intercepted you can expect a visit from the police as it's a precursor or something (which can be used for other things unconnected to CTB and meat curing).
My concern about trying to get it led me to explore a cocktail I have in mind, but I'd rather use SN.

I´m sure that you don´t need any licence to import it unless it is in large amounts... It is not a forbidden substance per se at least where I live (also EU) so it´s just impossible that you will be charged with anything criminal... You may explain the need for SN in any way you want but I think noone even cares. The customs might consider it suspicios and potentially confiscate it because it is indeed toxic but I´m sure that´s it. You should consider human factor. They´re busy there and if it´s not something REALLY forbidden I´m sure noone there is gonna bother. Like, for example you can not bring anything toxic on a plain so in theory SN definitely should be confidcated. But I travelled with a labelled bag of SN and noone even cared. I even travelled with N and it was fine. It´s my case, though...

  • magnesium nitrate hexahydrate
Poisons:
  • aldicarb
  • alpha-chloralose
  • ammonia 10% w/w
  • arsenic, compounds of, the following: calcium arsenites; copper acetoarsenite; copper arsenates; copper arsenites; lead arsenates
  • barium, salts of, the following: barium carbonate; barium silicofluoride
  • carbofuran

  • dinitrocresols (DNOC) their compounds with a metal or a base
  • dinoseb its compounds with a metal or a base
  • dinoterb
  • drazoxolon; its salts
  • endosulfan
  • endothal its salts
  • endrin

I see... It´s still weird to me though. There are a lot of people here from the UK and I´m sure lots of them had SN as their method... Well as a last resort I guess it is possible to get to another EU country and do it there...

If you have a legitimate source that will ship it to you, I'd personally do it.

The most that would happen is customs seizes it, which is unlikely they find it.

Found a source and when I go to buy it, a message comes up saying "Your address is incomplete, please update it". My address is actually complete, so when I try another country to shop to like Slovenia - it goes forward to the next page. It's a Polish company/seller. So not sure whether it is a UK prohibition thing as to why I cannot proceed to the buying of it page. It's really weird.

Err you've lost me? It was my choice not to order but once you said it would be ok and all that would happen would be it would be seized, I went back to the site to try and order it. But .. the site will not let me proceed. I did not know that would happen until I tried.

No, I understand. You simply aren't ordering now because the site won't let you.
