such fucking bullshit. I'm behind 2 weeks in all my lectures and I can't bring myself to go in. I've basically failed 2 classes from lack of attendance. my dorm room is filthy. I don't eat.

I did make friends. the one thing I managed was to make more people suffer when I go.

it has to be soon. once I source SN I'll be so glad to leave.

I have undiagnosed ADHD- it runs in my family but I can't afford a formal diagnosis.

People love to overhype university/college. While I have come to like certain aspects of university (probably helps that I decided to change what programs I'm going to go into), I'm still not a huge fan of it overall. It would be nice if I was able to get to have all the benefits of having a professor teach me stuff but without having to deal with things, like exams and assignments. Earlier on, my time in uni was honestly awful. I was so miserable and dreaded going there every day. I am enjoying myself a bit more now, but I still feel like people need to stop acting like university/college is this amazing experience when it really isn't.

Thankfully, I'm not American. I'm Canadian, so while I'll have to deal with paying off student loans it shouldn't be as bad.

Agreed it's been nothing but hell for me. I wish there were more jobs that were apprenticeship based. I hate that college makes you take useless classes that don't apply to your major at all.

I dropped out of college after my first semester because I was depressed, failing my classes, and my mom wouldn't let me quit my job so I could focus on school. She forced me to go back right away for a free scholarship and I dropped out after that semester too. I thought it was going to be so much different from high school, but it just felt like 13th grade, especially since I wasn't learning anything new and a lot of my classmates attended the same college.

It's a money grabbing scheme. That's another reason I quit.
