No. That would simply be way too much data they would have to store about everyone - it'd be an incredible waste of digital storage. In fact, they simply wouldn't have the manpower to make any use of all that data - they'd need to know whom they should conduct surveillance against.

Governments, in general, can probably wiretap your phone pretty easily. They are not automatically able to just take full control over your phone, though - at least not without putting in some effort. Here is an example of how secret police actually have to put in some work in order to access the data on someone's smartphone (which would probably be necessary to access webcam data and such as well).

The problem is, of course, we don't know how many phone manufacturers have already cooperated with various secret police organizations to install backdoors into their phones, or how many governments have managed to figure out ways to access phone data (this probably varies by phone manufacturer and service provider). In short, your paranoia is perfectly justified, but as far as we know governments do not yet have the power to take over someone's phone at a whim. However, some people may already be vulnerable, and surveillance is going to steadily increase in the future.

Funny you should mention that. The NSA had that thought too, so they built the Utah Data Center. It has a virtually infinite amount of storage, with room to expand if infinity should ever be not enough.

When I was younger I used to believe in the conspiracy that government spies on you through your phone camera. I used to use my finger to cover the camera. Now that I am older Idk if I still believe in that. But even if they do, Idc about it. But I think it's a quite absurd theory government watches over billion people. But again it's the government, so can't really say anything.

It's not TFH stuff. Do some research. FISA. Utah Data Center. Room 641a.

Yup, the NSA is pretty much trying to record the entire internet in real-time.

@Soon4me I wouldn't be surprised if the government can see and hear everything you do. They might even have advanced robots that look like insects recording everything. But unless you're doing something that could potentially harm the power structures, they're not going to care about what you're doing.

They don't use your camera. Most everything you do online is being stored. Is it being actively monitored? Not unless you've done something to warrant the attention. Manpower is a resource, after all. But if you ever do warrant that attention, they can see everything since the late 2000's-early 2010's most likely.

They don't. Government and police spend alot of money to make you think that they watch your every move, but they aren't. Once you realize how advertising works, how press works, how news work, you realize everything is based on an image, rather than the truth because people act more by their emotions rather than their logic.

That is also why so many products these days are marketed how secure they are and how they have face or fingerprint detection. They are nothing but marketing gimmicks, but they work, because they play on people's emotions since everybody has something to hide. It's the same thing as if you use an antivirus program and when you browse your bank, porn site or whatever, the antivirus will detect that and try to sell you their premium deal by scaring you that you can be watched.

Not offended. But it does sound like you have some pretty severe paranoia.

Wear your tinfoil hat.
I actually have a hat covered in foil, to wear during tirades about governments etc. Kinda steers into the skid of people's "you're crazy" responses.

Ha! Joke's on them, since I don't have a webcam or a phone because I have no friends and I'm a hermit who almost never goes outside. Checkmate! Seriously though, the post I made here (https://sanctioned-suicide.net/thre...to-make-people-kill-themselves.753/#post-8902) still applies tenfold. In the end, all of this is just similar tactics to the kind you'd see from a bloody puffer fish. Make yourself seem more imposing/capable than you really are, when in reality you're just blundering over yourself in as an inept & useless way as possible at every turn. It's simply marketing of fear in the end. And fear sells. Edward Bernays would be proud.

I was reading that the government can see and hear through your webcam and phone.Even if you turn off your phone. You need to remove the battery.
Yes, however if you remove your battery they won't spy your cam or phone the cell in the processor is just scifi. And well yes they have the ability, but do they really want? I mean, why would they spy me? I have nothing to hide lol

True, cannot appear to support this idea around psychiatrists because they call anything not in a textbook or from a .gov or nasa false. You have to have a likable personality and persuasive skill if you are going to venture into a conversation about that. Is helpful to act like you a joking a little at first. Remember, these type of ideas are scary to others so they will want to shut you up. Yes that proves they are not openminded but they are taught to question a person's mind when they say something that questions their view of the world.
