I would almost rather be dead. What's especially sad and frustrating is knowing and observing so many couples but knowing that I will always be a lonely invisible outcast.

Sorry, but I can definitively say there are several far worse feelings a human being can feel.

I'm from Indonesia, and I can somewhat also relate with what you've said.. so, you're not alone in feeling like that..

That's a really good question — and it's actually something a lot of people experience in different ways. Memory "blanks" during or after sex can happen for a mix of neurological, psychological, and physiological reasons:

1. Intense Neurochemical Flood

  • During sex and orgasm, your brain releases dopamine, oxytocin, endorphins, norepinephrine, and serotonin.
  • This surge can put the brain in a "flow state" where short-term memory encoding takes a backseat to sensation and emotion.
  • Similar to how people forget parts of concerts, sports, or fights because they were "in the moment."

2. Dissociation or Altered States

  • Some people enter a trance-like state during sex, where awareness detaches from linear memory.
  • If you're highly aroused or emotionally overwhelmed, your mind may prioritize experience over recording details, leading to memory gaps.

3. Stress, Anxiety, or Overstimulation

  • Even positive stress (anticipation, excitement, nervousness) can disrupt the hippocampus' ability to store memories.
  • If there's performance pressure or emotional intensity, the brain may "black out" moments.

4. Post-Orgasmic Neurochemical Reset

  • After orgasm, prolactin spikes and other arousal-related neurotransmitters crash.
  • This creates a "refractory" and hazy state — some people feel drowsy, others experience a sort of amnesia for what just happened.

5. Medical or Psychological Factors (less common but worth noting)

  • Certain meds (like SSRIs, mood stabilizers, alcohol, or recreational drugs) can impair memory encoding.
  • Conditions like epilepsy, PTSD, or dissociative tendencies may cause blank periods during sex.

🔑 In short: blanking out isn't unusual — sex floods the brain with chemicals, puts you in a non-ordinary state of consciousness, and sometimes the brain just doesn't "record" things properly.

Would you say your blanks feel more like a dreamlike blur (like you remember vibes but not details) or a hard blackout (like a missing time gap)? That distinction can help narrow down whether it's more about natural arousal states or something medical.

Truee it sucks when you are just clinging to your pillow hoping you can pretend to cuddle with someone.

I keep trying to not have any attraction at all and be aroace(hope thats not offensive) but i still feel it,even get nightmares sometimes when someone touches my hand that wake me up instantly and cry.

Meds kind of work but i still feel it,i hate human feelings :{ people are scary sometimes so it still feels weird to approach someone
