S ITES not apps. I refuse to use apps like Tinder due to the gameification of loneliness being utterly disgusting and I know there's other kinds of sites out there cause my parents met on a dating site in the 2000s which was more like pen pals according to them with the way it was designed. NO scrolling/swiping/you know what I mean.

I'm just feeling lonely with myself and I've never been brave enough to ask out a girl irl. I'm an adult and I haven't been in a relationship yet which paired with a general feeling of loneliness due to most people irl not really understanding me or my interests, yeah not fun. I'm also worried that if I get to like my mid-late 20s with no dating experience then I'll wind up as prime grooming territory. I already have the autism, don't want to make it any easier for a toxic asshole to use me. I don't even care about sex, I just wanna be able to have a crush on someone without the inevitable anxiety that has come with previous crushes.

That being said, does anybody know any dating websites which aren't a scrolling nightmare and also are good enough for sapphics? I've done a bit of research but these websites don't go that much in depth on the actual functionality and their community. I don't want to ask anyone I know irl cause I don't want to admit to them that I'm really lonely cause they never seem to understand and I don't want to look pathetic to them (also I don't want to ask my parents cause my mum keeps making assumptions about my mental health so she'll definitely interpret that wrong).

Maybe not the answer you're looking for. But for some reason, I've found that Hinge has the best quality before you're going to find on a dating app. Which isn't saying much. But alot of the people there had actual careers and high earning jobs.

So this is coming from a lesbian here: there aren't any, that's just what it is.

Everyone I've dated I've met in real life, someone will pick you up if you dress up, go into queer party scenes, and flirt. Is that gonna be a good relationship? Slim chance, but if the goal is to just get dating experience then it'll work.

There's not a lot of quality to find out there, especially in the pool of a 20-something-year-old. But people are lonely and needy in the queer clubs and bars. It's still a minefield though, goodluck.
