FWIW: I intend to inform the local sheriff/coroner via a delayed email --ideally.

I do not use Google, so can't use Boomerang.

I can't get Thunderbird to work on my computer, so I can't use their version of Boomerang.

I've had bad luck with TimeCave for delayed emails: they saw my come-get-my-body note to the sheriff after I had deleted it, post-failure, and tipped the sheriff. I got a welfare check the next morning (talked my way clear).

I'm now using LetterMeLater, which seems quite reliable and private. I boogered a deletion after my last fail, but it didn't cause catastrophe, and it was my fault, not LetterMeLater.

My current double-back-up plan is:

1) delayed-delivery email to the sheriff, via LetterMeLater, scheduled to arrive about 10:00.
2) a note taped inside the mailbox for the mailman to find (remember to raise the box's flag so he knows to check), asking him to notify the sheriff. Mail is delivered around 11:00, so if the sheriff gets the email first, they can remove the note before the mailman arrives (original email mentions the note in the mailbox).
3) a very, very good friend has said that if he gets an email titled "Sorry", he won't open it until noon (giving me a chance to send him a cancellation email if I fail (again)). In that email will be instructions for him to contact the sheriff.

I haven't a clue whether Google/Boomerang is "secure" as far as this purpose is concerned, but I don't trust Google in general for things like tracking, advertising, etc., so I have never set up a Google account and don't feel like doing so now.

I live alone in the UK. I've looked into a timed SMS using a disability text number to contact emergency services but I have an iPhone and apparently the only app available is 'schedule' but that only reminds you to send it.

Does anyone know who I would send a scheduled email to. I was thinking of finding an email address for a local GP surgery. I'm not registered with a doctor around here

I'm not sure how things work in the UK. Here in the US, my first choice was to contact the coroner, since they're the ones responsible for moving bodies. However, the coroner had no direct email address, so I will be contacting the sheriff, who is the local law enforcement authority.

Unfortunatelly it will be my parents who will find me. I have no alternative to doing it at home. I definetelly dont want to do it outside.I guess family has to identify the body anyways?

I know that what happens with my body doesn't matter after I die, since there will be no "me" to experience it, but I find the ways that people deal with dead bodies quite disturbing. I plan to set a delayed fire to burn my body afterwards. It will both dispose of my body and make it look like an accident. The difficulty is to ensure that no one else will get hurt in the process.
