I hope you are finally with peace now Gromit. It's so sad to not have you around and you will be missed a lot, but I'm happy for you that you found your way out of this cold cruel world like you've always wanted.

I started to become numb to the goodbye threads after a little while here. I thought it comes with the territory and the internet depersonalized things. For some reason the other day it hit me in a different way and I reflected on the fact that those threads were the end for real people just like me. Dashed hopes and dreams, trying, suffering, inability to find a palatable life, despair. It's scary for me to get close to those threads and very worth recognizing this world has lost some loving unappreciated souls.

He had a good sense of humor and was fun to chat with. I was selfishly hoping he would change his mind but he was really desperate. I felt so bad for him that he had no way to ctb. His attempt with the seeds was sad. So finally he got his wish, and for that I'm happy.

He didn't hang about did he? He must have been very desperate to go.

I thought he was going to not do it after the beachy head post he made, the nght night post, then the seeds.

I thought perhaps he was in a lot of pain and fear of the future, but he was maybe not really wanting to ctb, rather he saw it as the only way.

I'm quite shocked at how some people can just do it without hesitation.

He was as desperate to ctb as anyone I've ever seen. He finally got his SN. There are all levels of desperation and desire to ctb. He was at the top level.

I'd been looking at the news but couldn't see any reports. CO was my first choice but am worried it's not 100%, can't afford to fail.

It's not something that's always in the news @depressedsally had many problems and her death is still being looked into atm. There is a inquest coming up. That's all I can say

never interacted with him cause I wasn't in the site yet, but fi26 posted on their page , about his real name and the name he used here. And he was found in a chair outside his home. The sister even said he lied about the DUY. That he wasn't gonna do time in jail.

I just read the post about him on that other site. He was horribly depressed and suicidal. Instead of demonizing this site and someone here who showed him kindness, they should realize he desperately wanted out and did not die alone. He was absolutely determined in his mission. And no one is like that unless the suffering is not bearable.

Sometimes depression is so extreme there is no help for it.
Shawn's two DUI arrests within 48 hours shows he was attempting to commit suicide in his car. He would have probably continued to do that and continued to try to hang himself.
