Thinking of driving down tomorrow, I've been before and the old SI kicked in at the cliffs edge. Just couldn't bring myself to make the jump, was wishing someone would push me ! I know I'm a dreamer !

I'm desperate to ctb as soon as possible. Hanging scares me so much, the thought of living through it.

Praying I get there tomorrow and just walk off the edge, no lingering and no thoughts or regrets.

Any suggestions on how I might succeed would be greatly appreciated.

How about partial hanging with a plastic bag on the head after having swallowed lots of sleeping pills?

The more times you visit your intended site, the more comfortable you get with it and the idea tbh. The first couple of times because of the sheer height it may seem daunting, after more visits it becomes like a friend.

I didn't want to say as I'm embarrassed to have went there 3 times and failed to find the courage to jump but it does make sense. I even went at night which actually is so much easier as the cliffs edge is so hard to see. The familiarity of the place should help mak IMG 20161014 WA0010 IMG 20161014 WA0000 e it easier, I've got my spot picked out as someone's suggested earlier by the lighthouse seems best.

I was actually right at the edge but you have got to be careful as others have mentioned there is a volunteer patrol of chaplains on the look out for you and I.

Not to be embarrassed at all, because jumping is final and it has to be right and the right spot. People who jump visit their "target" many times before the actual time they do it. So if you visit say thirty times a psychiatrist would say you were high risk of suicide as you would be ready to jump.

I believe it is legal to base jump at beachy head.
I guess you could just forget to open the parachute (oops!)
It would then look like a tragic accident and not suicide.
This may make it easier for those we leave behind !
I think this is a top idea.does anyone know how i can book this or have done a base jump.
If a doctors fit note is required,i will be stuffed but if its just a weaver form like my bungee jump, then i would just lie.
Any thoughts please.

Apparently you have to do some course before you can BASE jump off B H or anywhere decent

They recommend sky diving first, the more sky dives you do the better BASE jumper you'll be. BUT the good thing is - it has more fatalities than any other recreational sport! So although you have to invest a bit of time now getting into it, you have a good chance of death!

I have known someone that died there and quite a few others more indirectly.
this is my perfect method and location ,I just really don't want to die alone.
if anyone reading this would like a partner for this.Method please get in touch.
I know the best place to jump from and I know this is the right method for me.
I'm thinking I'll end p going alone as Things are getting to the point where I can't hold off much longer.
next week would be perfect

Let me know if you're still around and I'll go with

Went there with my girlfriend last year around this time. A wonderful place. We robbed to the cliffs doing some photos.
I thought to myself that would be a good place for...but not this time. Not with and for the love of my life.
And now she's gone and her feelings for me too.
Would like to be there just once more but not in this life. So I'm crossing my fingers for all of you who's able to travel
to beachy head.
Send it a greeting from me :) :(.

Beachy Head does sound like a nice place to die at and of course many people have died there, but jumping as a method scares me personally. I think that those who ctb this way must had been really desperate.

I went there a couple of years back but the chaplains were constantly following me around until I left.

The police confiscted my N a month ago so I'm looking at my options again.

If anyone wants to go, and lives in the South East (Surrey area ideally) and not insane, let me know, and I can pick you up.

Apparently you have to jump at the right place where the steepest cliffs are - on the past some people have jumped where it's less steep and just tumbled down and broken an ankle or something

It's been quiet recently but not long back a couple of weeks there was almost something like 10 deaths

I don't know how anyone can do heights that feeling when your falling down must feel like on a roller coaster stomach in knots and inevitably your arms must break first because it's instinct to putt them out in front of you

Success rate though 100% if you don't get caught by the patrol wardens first and get wheeled off to hospital again although the ten that jumped recently the patrollers were caught well of guard
Hi, do the patrol wardens physically stop and restrain people from jumping?
