Within the next hour or so, I'm going to try drowning in the bath. The only thing I have that I could take is a few hundred mg of atorvastatin, and I don't think that will help anything. My plan is just to fight my SI like hell until I drown. Any advice?

That sounds like a difficult method to succeed in, of course I wish that it's easier to ctb this way, from what I've read it seems as though most deaths by drowning are accidental. To me it's like the SI exists to prolong our suffering and keep us trapped in this world but I hope that you find the freedom that you are looking for.

Good luck. Unfortunately it's likely to be incredibly difficult to surpass that SI, not just mentally but physically - Our bodies are designed to survive. Wishing you luck and peace regardless.

Man. Good luck, you'll need it. I don't think you'll be able to overcome SI but I wish you peace either way. See you soon I expect!

I feel like the only way to successfully to do that is to take something that will heavily knock you out.

Im also curious whats to stop your body from floating up or turning and floating once you are unconscious, i haven't researched into it much but couldn't you come back after that or no?

I think the SI will be hard to over power, if your Knocked Out deeply might assist but I feel like the body may wake up.
I hope you find your peace

Drowning is my method……im in the middle of planning it.

I plan on weighing myself down with heavy rocks, tied to me so I couldn't break free even if SI kicked in.

Sleeping pills and alcohol two hours before.

The only obstacle at the moment is where I am going to do it. Im thinking of going abroad to it in a beautiful lake somewhere, not quite decided yet.

I hate life now and just want to be gone
No, I'm just gonna go for it.
You have to weigh yourself down 🤦‍♂️

This is the first Ive heard of the shallow water blackout method. Pretty skeptical about it. I believe most people wont even be able to hold their breath for more than 2 mins even with hyperventilating. Also survival instinct prevailing before unconsciousness.

Would be interesting to see if anyone is able to pass out outside of water as a control test. @my-end

I tried SWB couple days ago. I tried like 6 times, couldn't pass out. I did get weird muscle cramps, though. The weirdest was my lips were contorted and even for minutes after I gave up and surfaced they were stuck like that.
But also hands, feet and legs all had mild charlie horse cramps. I tried to just breathe in the water, but I just couldn't physically do it.

I have an n2 setup with which I've failed a few times, blackout doesn't happen fast enough with just a few breaths and pulling the bag down/breathing n2. There's a syncope vid on yt, shows people falling on a mat after induced fainting (Search syncope experiment). I've been practicing this and am working on coupling this with the n2.

I tried holding my breath and the best I could do was just over 2 mins, hyperventilated for 5 min, before I couldnt hold it. Nothing close to passing out. According to the article holding for 4 mins should suffice. The light-headiness and tingles were pretty intense but went away within minutes.

Curious to how they achieved it, sucks the video cuts and doesnt talk about it. Im starting to think exercising such as cardio would make it easier and clenching of muscles, like it appears they do in the video. I guess theres more technique and practice involved to execute.

They mention a vasalva maneuver as well. Rn all I'm getting is some twitching and very strong euphoria with just standing and and holding a breath, I do this at my bedside so I can lay down as I start to go hypoxic.
*Edit...after standing, not standing alone.

So...the OP wrote this in early November and hasn't been back. To me it means one of two things : they tried and succeeded or they just never came back to the thread. As for me, my SI would quickly end that whole trying to drown myself thing. Also, having claustrophobia would definitely rule this out too. So...again I wonder what happened to OP? The "not knowing" happens here from time to time. Nature of the site I guess. I just always wonder if their journey was successful.

I'm going to stake my admittedly-nonexistent internet reputation on saying that using willpower alone to suffocate yourself is not going to work. Not in the bathtub, not with a pillow, not with a plastic bag. The entire premise of the inert gas method is that you need a workaround for the instinctual panic that sets in when your blood CO2 level starts to rise. You do occasionally hear about bathtub deaths among able-bodied adults, but they all seem to break down into three categories: natural causes, drug or alcohol blackout, and murder.

I am impressed with the determination of some folks in this thread, though. I don't know what causes a whole-body charlie horse, but it sounds like you'd need to expend a lot of effort to get one.
