• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I kinda hoped it would get easier the longer I hung around, it doesn't, it gets harder.

Not necessarily that you don't care, but does somebody's CTB affect you the same way since you've joined the forum?

I think that I will always feel heartbroken when we lose someone from SS and it will stick with me for a long time because I relate to them. We all do. I know we all care as well, just in different ways.

I'm soft, I tend to cry at the deaths of people I don't know. While hospitalized recently, I overheard the lady next to me planning her funeral and I cried and had to plug into my tablet and watch cute animal videos. I didn't even know her, but my heart was breaking that she was dying. (Hypocritical, huh?) She looked about 60. I would have traded places with her. Truly.

I guess I just want to see how this makes people feel. Or how they approach their feelings when someone CTBs.

All my love, H xo
Shock comes to mind then happiness for that person, my first user was a girl called Xanax who documented her trials with the CO tent method it didn't work I think the first two times and on the third she said goodnight and a week later someone posted her funeral notice from her family with a pic , it was weird to put s face to a user were all anonymous, the other was a potential partner I was talking to , she pulled out she didn't feel right time to hurt her husband, later post of hers she had bought and drank N, she never posted again and I again felt sadness

No, not weird at all. I also feel jealous of them and I want to be found dead soon.
p.s. For me, other people's death is heartbroken, but I want to die.

I feel sad when I read someone's post or reply and it connects beyond words. And then I see the line and think of missed opportunity to know them. Selfish I know. Then the relief kicks in that they are no longer in pain. Vast array of emotions in a very small space.
Due to the nature of work I do (emergency medicine), I'm kinda used to death. That doesn't mean to say I feel absolutely nothing, I do, but it's a very dulled down emotional response. It just sort of makes me sit back and take a breath for a second or two. That's the best way to describe it.
Street medic here. After a code, I feel the same exact way. Surrealness. brief moment of compassion for the pt and family, even a tear or 2. A deep breath for myself, then on to the next.
