The Internet a a bit difficult because that's kinda were I get my ideas but you can get them from books to. Maybe try a new hobbie or learn something new.

I ask because my future looks like I won't be able to afford either and want to know how people pass there day without these activities. It's one of the reasons I want to ctb.
I have internet — no television. I lived without internet for about a year and I'd really rather not do that again. I don't care if I watch any television for the rest of my life, personally.

I don't have anything. No tv, nothing. I actually don't even have furniture, save for a bed. I am horrifically poor lol

I've been disconnected from TV and internet for 10 years. I listen to classical music 24/7 inside of my apartment because it's supposed to have potential healing impact on the brain and it is supposed to help people relax.

If you're like me and if you listen long enough you'll learn to really love classical music. And even when listening on Opera Sunday's you'll learn to appreciate some of the Opera and it won't all sound like somebody swinging a cat against the wall. :haha:

I spend my time on the open internet doing internet stuff reading, researching things like that. I follow all of the news and gossip regarding my American football team on line. Precovid, I would go to the library If ever I needed to work for my laptop, or otherwise needed a change of scenery.

10 years ago the concept of disconnecting freaked everybody out that I knew but more and more it seems like many are disconnecting.

I'm probably significantly older than you I'm in my 50s but I don't miss TV whatsoever. Just about all I watched was South Park reruns and the deadliest catch reruns. Love both shows but how many times can I watch reruns of each of those programs.

I just upgraded my Verizon cell phone plan and now have free Hulu and free ESPN and free Disney and I did this two and a half weeks ago; I haven't even signed into the system yet and they keep sending me emails. I haven't looked at any of those channels. I'm just happy I have faster data and unlimited data.

My sister just disconnected everything and she took out a subscription for Netflix and watches Netflix on her phone for $10 a month or something I forgot what she said she's paying but it was fairly cheap

I don't have a tv set and I really like that. You could download a bunch of music, ebooks/audiobooks, movies and tv shows and store them on an external hard drive, while you still have internet access. That would give you something to do.

There are two of us, my room only has a closet and a bed, and I only have a cell phone to use the internet, no television I don't need

I moved recently, I miss my games. But with my mobile and using data on it I can still browse things. I can't imagine not having a way to get to this forum.

I haven't owned a television since the '90s.
I didn't have internet for the first 30 years of my life.
I bought an Xbox and occupy my time with single player games like Fallout and Skyrim.

I don't have tv but wish I did so I can watch sports. I haven't had cable for awhile. I spend most of my time on the internet with my crappy hotspot internet plan through my cell phone. Streaming video is a pain

I got rid of my TV about 7 or 8 years ago. However, when the lockdown happened I got Hulu w/live TV because they have the local news stations. I live alone with few friends and it's been comforting to have lice TV on, sometimes just as background noise...makes me feel a bit less isolated and alone. It also has lots of movies and the only TV show I've ever really enjoyed and watched repeatedly: The Golden Girls. I also have movies and TV shiwd on my Amazon Prime memberships. Since I left my job a couple months back I have lots of time and have binge watched a few. I'm currently watching The X Files, a show I never watched when it was on but enjoy it today. As I prepare for CTB, the paranormal and conspiracy themes seem to resonate with me.

The only internet access I have is on my android plan with 8gb of data. So no videos of any kind. Mostly, it is to shop for things that are not available in this very rural community where I live, and for this and two other forums.

TV, well, what lots of others have said. Not much worth watching. I do occasionally watch Andy Griffith and Jeopardy. I use an over the air antennae, so only five public channels available.
