Anyone ever betrayed by your best friend?

Has anyone ever been betrayed by your best friend? How did you handle it/does it still weigh on you?

Best friend since grade school stole $5000 from me 25 years ago. Haven't seen him since.

Next best friend tried to physically abuse me at a pool party at his house last year. Told him to fuck off and have avoided contact since.

I dunno- maybe it's me.

I was betrayed by my own brother.

He stole from me several times in business deals where we were partners. But the worst was co-opting my lawyer in the estate of my father's death and embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars. And in a situation where I depended on him for some basic things.

He is part of the reason I have the CTB plan.

My 2 best friends since 7th grade (I won't tell me age but I've graduated college) betrayed me and got me a 5150. Once I got out of psych I told them goodbye forever. I will never forgive them and I plan to never call them again! I understand why they did it but the night they arrived to my house I was actually in bed falling asleep and on the phone with 1 of them. To be aware of my whole life, then please let me go from all the pain and suffering I'm in. I would never do that to anyone! I would simply say don't tell me the day so I won't be liable but I would let anyone leave if that's their wishes.
