I kinda like cutting myself, and am morbidly curious about it all, but I also recognize that I'm basically just starting out, with cat scratches. I don't know if I want my cuts to be deeper and deeper in the future. Anyone in my life who gives advice on self harm either says to stop it, or do something else that's.. irritating, I guess. It's annoying, I dislike using a rubber band or holding an ice cube, it's stupid. The reason I like cutting is because it leaves scars on my arm, I like seeing them after I've done it, and I get a strange sadness when they start to fade.
I have another method to vent out my stresses, writing suicide notes, which I guess is just journaling, but the emotions I feel during it are much more extreme. Reading my past suicide notes makes me cry, and that also helps if I just want to release my pent up feelings.
Does anyone else have a coping method that they are fine with?
