Hi! I am 64 years young and bi. When, way back, my "parents" found out they kicked me out and never heard from them again, their choice. When they died they left my older brother in U.S. dollars $2,000,000 and my younger sister $500,000 and I was not mentioned in the will so I got ZERO. Also neither my brother or sister will speak to me, again their choice. BUT I have the most kind, loving sanctioned suicide global family members and that makes my world! Thank you to all the great global family members.

I'm pan. My sexuality is actually one of the things I like best about myself because I'm younger and my generation is usually quite cool with different sexualities and genders.
Id also like to say to all of the trans people here, I look up to you guys so much. That must have been so hard to have been born in a body which isn't yours. Gender dysphoria sounds like hell and I wanted to say I respect you guys for dealing with that. You guys are so brave and beautiful and I'm proud of all of you <3
Same goes for all of my other LGBTQ family. Love you guys

I'm gay but that isn't impacting my decision. I'm older, been through a lot, and fully accept all parts of me, including my sexual orientation. Yes, I used to think how my life would be different today if I was straight and followed the traditional path: college, job, marriage, kids, etc. Maybe I wouldn't have bottles of SN and Meto in my cabinet right now. But it's no longer worth my time and energy to dwell on what could have been.
Yeah I know what you mean, we as gay people end up losing a lot of the simple things in life. Specially after a certain age and your looks are gone. Gay people don't care about us, they just want 21 year olds even if they're in their 60s.

I'm straight white male but I support the LGBTQ+ community. You receive a lot of suffering and rejection, especially in my conservative country. It's quite enough for me to be 100% with you! Plus I'm an idealist so we agree on many fields. I am socially disabled so I can't do much ... but it's always better to cry together

The thread made me thinking... If men generally like more women while women generally like fewer men (conclusions form evolutionary biology? babymakers have limited capacity, paired with high production time, thence the preference for quality over quantity) wouldn't things be better for everyone if the majority of men were gays? Think about it. The majority of women get the best men (let's say, above 80th percentile) the world has to offer, while other 80% men are fucking each other
In the context of mental ill health, mental illness and suicide, I think it's important to distinguish LGB from the gender-based identities and expressions. They're different.

I'm concerned about the overall direction and future of the United States, but I do have hope for greater acceptance and tolerance of gay people. I grew up in the mountains and my small high school today has a Gay/Straight Alliance. Growing up in redneck country, this is a major step forward! LOL And the little town where I grew up started an annual Pride Celebration. They use the park in the center of town, have some resource booths, some food trucks and a DJ for dancing. They're gaining momentum and it's growing every year. I also think about my youngest nephews who are now in college, but in high school they both had openly gay friends and had no issues being friends with them. Again, things are changing. It's refreshing to see.

I read a news story many years ago about straight guys moving to San Francisco because the number of gay men was so high they thought they'd have better dating options with straight females. The guys interviewed with true Bro and Frat-like guys, so I think it was a slow news day and the story was meant to be tongue-in-cheek.

I am bi but I can't say it's really affected my will to live at all since I have never had a coming out process; my family accept me dating whoever I want.
