It was a suicide but when you read the news story it's like they are seeking fault for her ctb

I doubt it too. It's similar to how they said Dr Brandt committed suicide after seeing a parody of himself on A tv show written by Tina Fey. Everyone blamed Tina and that's not why he hung himself

That's why suffering is subjective. You could be good looking and rich and still ctb. Just because someone is good looking doesn't mean they don't have a good reason to ctb.

Dr Hen is quick to point fingers at the therapist, meanwhile back at the ranch he was probably prescribing her benzos and SSRI's which exacerbated her suffering and probably led to her intense suicidal ideations that she had to act upon. We've seen first hand on this forum what unique effects these meds can have on users. The docs name also puts me off, from personal experience.

If she was that much of a maladaptive perfectionist, almost undoubtedly she struggled most of her life with feelings of low self-worth and trouble internalising her achievements and others' love. I find that others are often quick to look for a single trigger in a suicide when there tends to be a history of problems that are unnoticed, especially in people who are considered high functioning (and it looks like she was high functioning, so her perfectionism was probably celebrated).

That being said, it's a horrible thing to write in an occupational therapy report, and seeing that would make me upset and distrust a doctor too. I'm inclined to agree that this is a questionable narrative, though, especially the 'totally changed her' thing. I don't know why people are so deeply fixated on the 'suicidal overnight' narrative, maybe it's the shock. Sounds like at least two people in that article failed her.

Rest in peace Chelsey, you probably suffered a lot. I'm sorry if people didn't understand how you felt, and that we can't fully understand now.

I don't think it's even necessary to draw on extreme examples of how being beautiful can put you at a disadvantage in life, the psychological downsides of being attractive, etc. I am good looking and subject to the vagaries of human existence, like anyone. I deal with mental illness and depression - looks cannot save you from those things. There is also perhaps a particular grief that comes from aging when you have been particularly beautiful in your younger years. Like you cannot bear the loss of your looks; it is just untenable to grow older and aged-looking. There may be something to wanting to preserve yourself as you were.

I am heartened by reports of good looking people (especially women) who have suicided. It gives me more strength to go through with it. There are so many reasons one can have to go. From a good looking person, get me out of this hell.

I completely concur and like you, I personally have lived a similar hell. There is never a moment that your mind doesn't haunt you, taunt you, mock you and make you wake up at night screaming your lungs out, or fighting off someone that is not even there...just a memory of a dream that is lingering.

Night terrors have been one of the worst after effects. Wake up screaming running through your house, getting hurt fighting something that only you can see until you can snap out of it. I concussed myself severely one time from that.

You paint a very Vivid picture I can't say my night terrors wherever so severe but I would wake myself up and others screaming and thrashing around. I did hurt my arms on a couple of occasions.

There was a news reporter here recently, mid 40s, great paying job, nice house, lots of friends, wife and kids - killed himself on holiday in Switzerland. Depression makes anyone its slave.
