Why is that? I mean the part about the destruction of the lungs is scary for me but you're discussing drowning yourself with water somewhere in this thread. I've always thought it would be peaceful if you're intoxicated.

Idk, those moments of suffocating just give me the chills.
Where did I discuss drowning myself with water? Sorry, I have short memory and it's even worse when I drink to the point that I don't remember what I did last night. As far as I know I never considered drowning on my list of methods.

Maybe get drunk to the point where you're about to sleep and put a plastic bag around your head ? Might work.

Sorry, I think I was misreading the post about the russian water drinking competition an died and you saying you are okay with extremes.
My thoughts are how conscious would a person be when drowning if they were intoxicated at the time? Maybe the water would bring them round now that I think about it but those deaths sounds peaceful to me.

I have low tolerance for alcohol but.....I'd If I were to drink myself away, then it would have to be - 30° and below out somewhere with lots of snow....but I think I'll pass out first and then die of hyperthermia.
