im genuinely tired of all this shit and i been wanting to kill myself for the longest now. idgaf anymore. i just need an answer... or a method to kill myself.
i will be open minded to see both sides of the "ultimatum" of having hope & taking action or just straight up ending my shit.

I'm 21 so not a lot older!! I work full time to provide food on my table so I guess my answer is if you want a car you need to have full time job to get it. Unfortunately nothing is free… in terms of "advise" it's up to you no one knows your story but you. I have had a tough life that I really hated myself I want to die and I'm looking for resources to be able to plan. It's not easy to plan your own death so if you are thinking about dying before putting some type of effort to make your life better it will be unfair. I wish you the best!

I am so sorry that you are feeling like this - that is really sad. May I ask why you don't have a job? Are you studying,.volunteering, training or focusing on something else at the moment?

I understand why you'd feel so tired of suffering in this existence but anyway best wishes in whatever you decide.

been kicked out for a year now. never got my license cause of the pandemic. im dead broke rn and if i had a beater car right nowi would've been light to fix it up regardless. im honestly just stuck and a fucking brokie. college was never my thing or any of that sort. right now ive just been doing what i love most and making a career out of my hobby instead of the traditional 9-5. though im starting to lose hope for all that. i dont think suicide is too bad. im just not assure of myself to really act on that.

thank you

Which country do you live in? College is not for everyone. There are different ways of making a living.

Having a regular job. Apprenticeships, traineeships etc. It all depends on the country you live in and what is available there?

I live in the UK and might be able tonshare resources about these schemes for young people who live in the UK. But if you live elsewhere, you can still look at what is available for you locally..,

I understand the pain that you are going through, I really do, and it is all so overwhelming. But I will just add some points of wisdom from someone twice your age. Lot of 19 year olds don't have a car or a job. Second one of the best advice I could give you concerning a job is, stop thinking about a job, and start thinking about what skill you would enjoy doing that you could then use in a job or career. Jobs come and go, but a good skill set is yours for life.

Who doesn't? You can travel low budget, if you are willing to work a bit along the way.

Ever try programming? Data science/stats? Work from home has growing popularity, so no car is less of a problem than it was before, since companies like remote workers now.

Would like to add that if travel to the job is needed, a bike is a much cheaper upfront investment to start with.

yeah man its all retail and local shit. again only problem is that i don't have transportation to get there. its kind of a little drive. regardless i don't want to elaborate because again, i live here and its my problem. the town i am in is small. it just seems like a impossible situation im in right now

yeah man, i really respect what you said. and i do know the challenges ima face trying to take my own path instead of a traditional path everyone else takes. and that is the thing that sucks. you are wise.. and that i acknowledge. maybe it is common that teens my age dont have possession of things like cars or jobs. but because of the situation im in, its almost like i have to "grow up" quicker and mature. again, im out of the house. i have to do everything on my own now, with no emotionally support. im always by myself you know?

You're young. You've got a lot of time bro. The best time was yesterday, the second best time is today. Best of luck.

Just wanted to point out a resource that may be of help to you, if you haven't already considered it. Since you're in the US, there's a program called Job Corps that trains young people while also giving them a place to live and food to eat, plus a living allowance. I believe they also help with relocation if you don't live near a center.

Do you have to have a car to get around where you live? I was terrible at driving, so never got as far as buying a car but I've always lived where there were buses and trains. You can still get to lots of places if you live in a city or suburbs. I'm 43 and have survived without one although admittedly- life would be much easier if I could drive.

Other than that- sadly, it is a case of getting a job to afford all that. If you're young, you could look at doing an apprenticeship. I wish I'd gone that route. Or else, unfortunately- it's wage slave stuff- retail etc. Honestly, both myself and my friends have ended up with those sorts of jobs despite having degrees. It's shitty.

Depends on how you feel about life in general really. If you have things you want to save up for- hobbies, interests, a car. If they are enough to motivate you to earn the money for.
