Zip tie for night night method

Hello everyone
Has anyone thought of using zip ties to do a blood choke on yourself. I saw on the internet an African man using two zip ties around his neck. Would putting cloth on both side of the neck then zip tieing the neck put pressure on the caratod arteries but leave the windpipe not compressed so no suffocation feeling is felt while still blood choking the brain. I feel if this works it's painless convenient and easy. What are your thoughts?

If you can pull it tight enough, yes, it will work. Cloth will limit the skin from getting pinched in the zip tie.
It is likely you will have very difficult minute before passing out. Your SI will want the zip ties off and that will be neatly impossible.
If you can quickly zip tie your hands behind you, that will stop you from clawing at your neck.

I tried this when I was 14 (and inexperienced), but without the cloth. It didn't really work and I just ended up sputtering and gagging, and ended up having to take it off after my mum walked in (the zip tie was one of the reversible ones which go back if you press down on a certain part of it). Thankfully she didn't realise what I was doing and I was able to remove it in time and managed to pretend that my choking was just me crying, and I hid the red mark on my neck. She forced me to apologise to her and my dad for being 'disrespectful' and was never one the wiser about the attempt. Tbh I doubt she would've cared if she HAD known.

I reckon the zip tie method probably would have worked if I'd kept it on for longer, since I had started to black out after 40-50 seconds. It felt like shit though, and of course I had done it impulsively and hadn't considered the possibility that I'd be interrupted by my parents. Usually they don't check on me if I'm crying so it was unusual my mum did so that time. If you're going to try this then please do so with the cloth, and preferably in a private place where you won't be interrupted like I was.

I've thought about this, getting a zip tie tightening tool would probably be best.

The tool is under $20. It cuts off the excess do you will be dead, but look well packaged.
Not sure how tight it will go before cutting.
