If it really was like that, then whether it's aliens, gods, transdimensional sickos, AI from the future, matrix overlords or just some simulation running on some intergalactic teenager's gaming console... yeah, I guess they are having a good laugh. Probably even getting off on the worst suffering parts

They are definitely out there, and we do provide entertainment. Just not sure if we are always laughing stock. Maybe sometimes we are looked at in disbelief, horror or seen as experiments.

I wonder if aliens are just humans millions of years in the future. anatomy wise evolving to have less use of body and becoming smaller as technology advances. would make sense to why they cant kill us otherwise they may not exists. That or we could be a science experiment of them as our dna is unlike any oher species on this planet we don't quiet fit in here on earth as a species, would make sense if we came from else where

Aliens built the simulation machine and powered it with an inexhaustible energy source. They got bored, forgot about it, and went extinct, and nobody turned it off. And here we are.
