If it came with a 6 figure bank account then yes. Otherwise i would just drag my issue's to the new life and create even more because i suck at building a social life/getting a gf. Also i would dread starting at a new job .. i hate being the new guy and trying to be social.

Well Dick, what can I say?

You dont have to legally change your name. You can elect to be called anything you like, legally, so if you want to be called Dick Robot, you can, well in the UK anyway. But I digress.

The simple answer to the question is, NO. Throw in a new brain that was not frightened of its own shadow and could handle any situation that came up and I might, just might, reconsider.

Like most folks, it is my body (physical & mental) that is why. If I were given the opportunity by God, a genie, or an alien to be reborn as an infant with no knowledge of my current life I probably would, definitely if I could be guaranteed I would either have a better likelihood of taking care of my body before developing what I have no (it was preventable) and not have the traumatic events/relationships that far worsened the mental issues I was born with (the first time I showed clear signs was at age 3 so I absolutely believe I was born with some of them). If I could be guaranteed that AND not have the genes that led to my predisposition towards the physical illnesses I have I would in a heartbeat!
But I think I would have to insist on not being born an American again. I love my country but am getting more and more frightened of the ways it is going backwards. I don't blame Chump for the shootings or him alone for the atrocities I DO blame him for, but he is president of my country, not my president.
I don't mean to start a political debate, anyone who wishes to have an actual discussion is welcome to PM me, but not being born an American IS part of my answer.

Imagine by some stroke of luck, you are offered the option to testify against a crime-boss, but you would have to go into Witness Protection afterward.
This requires you to adopt a new life. New name, new town, new job, new apartment, new clothes, new car, maybe new face.
Would you take the chance to walk away from your life that was unhappy anyway, and maybe try to start something new-ish? If the chance to do it just fell in your lap?
Remember, your old life will be erased, no contact. Like you just disappeared. You'd be killed if you return to it.
Depends on how I'm killed. If it's a horrible death, no. A shot to the head? I'd go into witness protection just to break it and get killed.

I'm not sure.

A new life would not replace or repair my mutilated body, and it wouldn't bring back the dead, so my main issues would continue to haunt me. It wouldn't suddenly delete my depression, either. The material gains might relieve some of my stress, but totally leaving behind my family and friends would actually push me even further over the edge.

I think ultimately I'd only take this deal if I wanted to make absolutely sure I did CTB. So maybe? LOL

No, that wouldn't solve any of my problems. The root of the issue is in my brain, not the environment I reside in.

Ha
It's only screwing me when jobs and apartments want "references". Everybody wants proof you've got friends, fuck that, most serial killers have friends.
That's how witness protection helps you in this fantasy, because they set that stuff up for you. Because the "old life" you were supposed to have had is gone.
See how this fantasy suits me?
I think of everything.
Hahahahahaha!

You're so creative, Not_a_robot! In answer to your question, I would definitely take another life, but would I have any say in whose life i'd be getting?

I dunno, I think I would like to change a thing or two about this life but starting over would be a pain in the ass. I do think that we might reincarnate if we die so we might start again anyway.

I would even take just going back in time and getting a chance to live life with the brain I have but knowing all of my obstacles and the best ways to overcome them. And possibly not have had something that happened to me when I was young to make me asexual. But even that I think I could live with.

It's me who's wrong, not my circumstances. So it's probably going to be a waste of time, unless Stone Edge actually hits in this 'new life'.

That's all I've thought of in years. "Just take everything you like and your cats with you and leave."

I wouldn't take the offer. I hate who I am. I feel like I'm rotting from the inside out and it's all stemming from some rotten hunk of flesh in my brain. Even if I was able to pick up and start a brand new life, I would still be stuck with myself.

I've changed my name. I've changed my environment. I've switched jobs. I've changed how I talk to people and who I am.
I'm still miserable.
This scenario wouldn't offer me anything I haven't already tried.
