Help Worried about my cats

I have two beautiful cats, Basil and Beans, I've had them for a year. Mostly they like to do their own thing so I thought they didn't like me much but today Basil came to lie on my chest while Beans slept by my feet, he's not done that since I first got him. Then I started to worry about what's going to happen to them. As I mentioned I live alone and I don't have any friends so they'd most likely end up in a shelter. But what if no one finds them before it's too late? I don't plan to ctb at home, I want to go to the forest behind my house. It's very big, no one will find me and no one will realise I'm missing for a very long time. They're lovely cats and I don't want to make them suffer. I know I shouldn't have adopted them and that I was selfish but what should I do?

Either give them to a good home before you go, which is what I'd do. Or send a delayed email to authorities for safter your CTB so they can rescue our cats. Alternatively you could delay CTB until they've passed away, that's not a bad idea either, things can get better and you might change your mind
