Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

We were told that if we worked hard enough, sacrificed long enough, and endured quietly enough, life would eventually repay us with meaning, love, and security. But for almost everyone, this promise is a scam.

For example if we look at the men who work 80 hours a week to pull their families out of poverty, their situation is all but desirable. They sacrifice their youth, their health, and their passions to build a fortress of comfort for their closed ones. But in doing so, they become strangers to their own homes.

The wife complains he is never present. The kids resent him for missing the soccer games. He is hated for his absence, but his absence is the exact currency that buys their soft, privileged lives. He is the villain in a house he paid for with his own blood. Until he eventually dies alone in a crowded room, resented by the people he sacrificed his soul to protect.

Working hard is not worth it. It's a scam and too many people fall for it.

I'm the kid in this scenario. I think as a dad it's really important to spend quality time with your kids, especially your sons. Daddy issues on a boy is as bad as on a girl... At the same time I admire the nobility of working hard and sacrificing for your family.

To be honest, I thought this was going to be about generational wage gaps. The social contract is definitely broken; working hard and slaving doesn't pay the bills like it used to and Gen Z knows it. Working hard, sacrificing and enduring should be able to buy you a house and support your family but it doesn't. You need to find a way to make passive income or already have money if you want to actually build wealth.

Bruh spent my whole life studying was one of the best and now cant even find a fucjing job with my diplome.
Apparently its now that i should do effort and whatnot. Fuck this system its all based on lies , im never putting effort again .
Crazy how nothing is balanced , while people cant find food some mfs buy random assets from a company and make crazy amount of money without working a day in their life.
Its so bad.

I agree with all of this, especially how bad the current system is.
I'm 52 and worked for a good company. I was set. We were told it would never sell… until it did. Now I have to find something again and it so difficult.
And even if I do this is just going to happen again. Nothing is stable and I don't come from money.
So I'm suicidal. This seems like an option to us. Are we wrong? Are we supposed to fight to survive and DoorDash or work at McDonalds or something? How am I supposed to retire? What is there to look forward to? Suicide seems horrible but also the better option.

Both of my parents worked 60 hours a week; I am very grateful for it. They sacrificed everything and never stopped working in order to maintain and provide us with stability. One of my biggest regrets is that I won't be able to and am too incompetent to do the same for someone else.
