Work Is Hell

It's really sad that in the world of employment people have to work in stressful jobs like teaching rude children, maintaining infrastructure, taking care of the sick and the elderly etc. Many of the errors that happen n such jobs ae outside the worker's control, old people fall and break a limb, young students can go wild and throw a chair at a teacher, an electrician can make a mistake that can end up in the inhabitants getting electrecuted to death. It's just too much responsibility that we can't assign it to anyone, it's just unfair. I wish the job market was full of easy jobs, like data entry, scanning, filing, easy manufacturing jobs like a textile factory or printing press. There ae so many people who can contribute to society in their own terms but we miss them because the world of employment isn't organized around them.

there are data entry jobs, it's just most of them go to countries that have lower cost of living and wages. So because of globalization, and to a large extent covid and remote work, anything that can be done remotely by English speakers in the Philippines and India for half the cost goes there most of the time. So call centers, gone, data entry, gone, scanning and filing: it still exists, but you may need to specialize. You could go get a paralegal certificate and try to work in a law office, although many paralegal jobs are remote now. It depends on how good you are and how specialized. So much stuff is education or healthcare or electrical because the jobs that are left are either extremely high skill, geared towards sales and personal relationships, or involve things that must be done in person (ie healthcare).

You should look at jobs that have barriers to entry wherever you are. Things like home appraising, medical insurance claims specialist, insurance claims specialist, tax specialist, etc. There are still some jobs that need to be done locally and can't be outsourced easily due to compliance issues with outsourcing. There's some accounting being outsourced but accountants are always in short supply. Doing insurance stuff is something that can't be outsourced and is a very ordinary remote job that people can do, or sometimes it's in person.

but i also agree with everything you are saying in the sense that it should be easier to include more people in the work environment. i know a lot of people hate AI, but the world is starting to get more proficient at robotics and in 2 decades, most jobs are going to be done by robots and people will get UBI. We'll still need things like window washers and nurses, but the hardest jobs (crop pickers, even electrical repair, factory work) will all be done by robots. It's unclear whether at a certain point this will result in a classless society or a neo-feudal society.
