will sn be distressing at some level even after loss of consciousness

we've probably all had experiences where we experienced physical illness and unconsciousness on some level. and i recall it feels pretty terrible even if my brain isn't fully aware.

so when sn is taken, i'm worried abt a miserable and terrifying descent even when "asleep". does anyone know if this is actually true or if the loss of consciousness makes it so you can't really feel anything at all?

with any method ever you will always have that panic and uncomfortable feeling, though i have heard with SN that you lose consciousness pretty quickly.

After you lose consciousness you won't feel anything. It would just be like passing out. Worst part will be the moments beforehand which may feel like forever

should also add that even with an antiemetic you are pretty likely to throw up

I'm trying to figure out the same thing. I'm starting to veer towards more violent methods just to get it over with, but I guess it all comes down to the question "What is it worth to you ??" I don't want the people I'm leaving behind to bury a body with a nicely trimmed nub at the top where a head used to be. I don't want to leave them with a pile of meat, essentially *nothing* to bury. That's worth the risk of being in pain one last good time with a clean method like SN.

that's the reason a lot of people back off from fire arms. they get scared or feel guilty knowing that their parents will have to bury a mutilated body with basically no head. train suicides decapitate you completely, which is also extremely gory. i think that choosing sn as a method creates a more peaceful mental images in the person's mind and also when they imagine their family identifying their body later. it makes me feel less squeamish overall.
