My parents bought me a puppy 3 months ago and they keep trying to guilt trip me by saying how much he loves me and that he couldn't live without me. I care about him a lot obviously but there's absolutely no way I can continue living, I've been seriously harmed by an antibiotic which has given me peripheral neuropathy and burning pain in my hands and feet all the time, with zero help from doctors, I've also been abused by my family for my whole life.
I feel like this innocent puppy has been brought into this miserable family despite me telling my parents not to do it. Is he going to be ok without me, or if my parents re-home him? I know dogs are very loyal and he's a Maltese so he's very attached. I feel terrible but I won't be guilt tripped by my parents. My dad is going to spend £50,000 on a new car and refused to take me abroad for better medical care. I feel terrible for the puppy.
