The god that I was raised to believe in planned to damn me from birth due to things about myself I had no control over, whether I kill myself is irrelevant to that decision.
God has a lot of explaining to do so the question should be if I forgive God, not the other way around.
I share that sentiment and don't have forgiveness in my heart at the moment. Fuck him for making me something he didn't like and then treating me like shit for being that way.

Just like the Nightwish song says:

"Not a hero unless you die
Our species eat the wounded ones"

Not sure the specific god you are asking about, but from a protestant Christian viewpoint you would be forgiven for pretty much any sin, with the possible exception of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, depending on the believer's interpretation, as along as you believed in Jesus Christ as your savior and confessed your belief.

I'm sure that's not a belief most would follow on here, but I wanted to answer from my own knowledge, as limited as it may be.

I'm not sure if there is a god, if there is one he might think of us as ants, not caring about us one way or another.

I dont believe in the biblical god. The old testament describes him as a racist, sexist, homophobic, sadistic god with insecurity issues. I am not sure I would want to be forgiven by this god.

If you are talking about a God or Gods in the way most people do, in a theistic or religious context:

Forgiveness for what? If you mean for committing suicide - then whether or not God forgives it is irrelevant. God should be the one seeking forgiveness from its creation, and not the other way around; considering that it sits idly and allows unnecessary suffering to happen every day. Yes - a point could be made that God cannot or just may not want to intefere, because it has given us free will, but that argument is invalid since God has already interfered by creating reality as we know it and every human being in it - without consent. Plus having free will, if it exists, does not stop one being from helping another; just like how you can choose to help a person in need out in the public.

I'm so happy to be an atheist when thoughts like this crop up, but of course they do because I was raised Baptist.

Not in Christianity, IMHO. The only unforgivable sin is rejecting God per the Bible. Suicide is rarely mentioned and never referred to as a sin.

The church, particularly the Catholic faith, has a long history of condemning suicide as leading to Hell based on 2 man made theories:

1. It's self-murder.
2. God's will is a natural death.

Neither is convincing to me but I won't bore you with my personal beliefs. Many Protestant faiths like my Episcopal Church are abandoning any stigma.

I can't speak to other religions.

If there's a God that I'll have to confront, then I'll apologize for ruining my life and running from my mistakes. But honestly I doubt that if there is in fact one, they'd be that hard to convince. After all isn't most, if not all iterations supposed to be loving, forgiving, and understanding? I've loved my life and I'll miss it, I'll miss the good things. But I am how I was made, and the culmination of my decisions. It's like making a car with 3 wheels and being angry it only drives in circles

Two quick observations:

1. Free will undeniably exists.
2. Free will is the source of most suffering.

If there would be any god, he/she/it wouldn't let me suffer and would give me caring, supportive, parents to begin with but what happened instead?
Yeah, I got the abusive ones..
So, I don't believe into this whole crap.

I'm so thankful I don't have a religious bone in my body. I still remember me & my buddy trying SO hard not to burst out laughing during Sunday school, the lame bull***t those people deal in was hilarious to me even back then :pfff: Noah's Ark! LOL Jonah in the whale's stomach! Balaam's talking donkey! :pfff: Adam & Eve's sons having to have sex with their sisters because all human beings were siblings! :ohhhh::pfff:

I don't believe in any religion. If there was a God, then why is there so much suffering. It's fine if you believe in it but I think religion is used by people as an attempt to add meaning to their empty and meaningless existence.
Free will explains most of the world's suffering. In other words, it's man made. ‍♂️

If a person is murdered then that is the choice (and will) of the perpetrator, but it is not the will of the victim because they did not wish to be killed. Not everyone that suffers does so because of their own choices, but instead from the decisions of others. So in these instances only the attackers are exercising their free will, but their actions go against the free will of the victims.

Okay, I believe in God now, because I've already had evidence of the supernatural, and I don't commit ctb for fear of that, we don't necessarily go to hell, I think. But in my religion, we believe that we are going to something like a "limbo". Where we got lost wondering why we did the ctb.

I will try to piss in Gods face for retaliation, if i get the chance.
Mainly for my personal suffering, but also for the suffering of the rest of all suffering beeings.

But i doubt there is anything in death other than peace.

How convenient for clergy to put a rule out there that CTB will send you to "hell." Bring me proof. I'll wait. Patiently even.

It's written into dogma for the same reason Jews observer Kosher rules and Muslims have Halal. Because back in the day, what better way to institute "public health initiatives" than make them "God's" rules?

I could give a rat's ass what a jackass God will do to me. He's left me and abandoned me, just as he's left and abandoned others in their time of need. Clearly shows favoritism towards the cruelest most evil people on this planet. If I could confront God I'd ask him why a "perfect" being like himself made such an imperfect mistake like me if we are supposed to be made in his likeness. I'd ask him why he gives some people amazing circumstance to live in (born into wealth, good-looking, great family, and never have to work a day in their life or suffer) and other people such horrible circumstances. What did I or anyone else who is currently suffering do to deserve this? Why do babies who have no choice to come into this twisted world deserve to grow up suffering?

If God is intelligent enough to create the universe, the world and man, then everything is going as planned. When I look at human history, it doesn't seem like a very clever plan. God cannot be screwed. Or can he do it?

Id love to be able to stand by my conviction that If God judges me and condemns me further for my existence I am merely at the mercy of a terrible bully who is throwing his weight around because I couldn't understand his game.
I've truly asked for an intervention to explain to me why I suffered and how can I trust the existence of everything amongst other things.
I didn't get a response. So I believe God is Evil, doesn't exist or has always hated or had no interest in me.
