Jumping is the best. Hanging, etc can fail terribly.
People pick low heights to jump from for some reason. My bridge will be one of those wobbly pathways between two mountains over in a place like Asia.

i know a landmark bridge in the us where they thought adding a fence would keep people from jumping because too many people were jumping there.

the renovation was millions of dollars yet there's no net and the fence is so short i looked at it and i was sure my completely unathletic self could scale it when i visited there with family once lol. obviously i didn't try because my family was there but it stuck with me as a possible backup plan for me if all else is taken away

I'm still considering falling off the Bixby Bridge on Hwy 1 in California, but I never decided how to get there. It's about 30 minutes away, but I cant drive, and I think an Uber or taxi ride would just be to stressful

I was reading a good book last week about suicides on the Golden Gate Bridge.
Up to when the book was published there was still no suicide barriers in place.

Impossibel question to answer! Since it seems like it all comes down to the amounts of sucide happening at the different brigdes.

Honestly it really is baffling for me how a big part of places like bridges and train tracks are so easily and openly accessible. Never understood how they don't install some sort of antidote in a lot of these places. At least that's how it is in Europe.

Golden gate bridge has the safety nets done now.

The New River Gorge bridge holds an annual event called Bridge Day. Thousands of people visit each year. As long as there's a lot of money being generated by the event, then it's bound to stay suicide-barrier free.
Money trumps a few suicides a year!😄

Another bridge I never see mentioned is the Royal Gorge Bridge in Pikes Peak Colorado. 956 feet high with nothing but rocks and a shallow stream at the bottom.

I visited there when I was a kid, and that bridge terrified

I fantasize about bridges. Finding one rarely traveled high between mountains or a gorge. Sit and feel the wind on your face until you are ready. Unfortunately I am terrified of heights LOL.

Wanna jump together lol ? Seems like a solid b plan if my first method fails
Idk I'm about 8 hours away from there but it's the closest bridge to me that's lethal. Technically I could make it my last trip

I enjoy heights, and I've walked across the Golden Gate Bridge a few times, but that was over 20 years ago. Now I sorta wanna see what's stretched beneath it.

I've been concerned that if we as a massive populice don't start facing tyranny that all western countries will end up like China with suicide nets, and living in such a overcrowded environment it's too difficult to ctb. I don't know if it was planned/orchestrated but it's so upsetting to see such living conditions. I don't think I'm brave enough to imagine it.

I think its because suicidal people are such a small fraction of the entire population as a whole. This website creates a sense of community between us, but I still think suicidal ideation is not the norm.

Yeah sure I'm aware of that. Nevertheless I checked the statistics for suicide methods for my country and more than 2 people die every day from jumping in my country alone. If I calculate the number up onto the whole world population that's roughly 90,000 people a year who suicide by jumping, or about 10 people every hour.

The suicide barriers on bridges are really spiteful and cruel, most of them are useless anyway so they're more just a symbol of oppression against suicidal people. They cost a huge amount to build and maintain and serve no purpose other than trying to trap suicidal people in existence for as long as possible. I guess they will do anything to satisfy their saviour complex.

I found another Golden Gate Bridge picture. Looks like the safety net is just chain link fence, referred to as a "grey steel net". Sorta makes me wonder where's the barbed wire strands?

The website stated that Net construction began in 2018 and is expected to be completed at the end of 2023.

This image is only a "Rendering of the Suicide Deterrent Net"
