I can tell you as someone who has lived here over half a century that it is not a very good country. Yes, i have traveled to other countries to compare. However, if you need a gun there are more than enough to go around.
It's ironic in a way.
It's ironic in a way. My country asks us to go to other countries and kill people. If you commit a murder here they will kill you for it. However, if you are in immense suffering, they will not help you exit peacefully. The govt has no problem with CTB, except if it is a peaceful way to end intolerable suffering.

It's nice to have that right. I wish we could also have Canada's MAID law, but it has no hope of ever passing in the US for mentally ill to qualify. A few states allow it for terminal illness and even that is very controversial.

It's not, I've heard it's better in other countries. They don't just kick people out on the street like they do here. Or make it so u will be bankrupt over medical care, or end up dead because u don't have health insurance. It's tied to your job.

I have such easy access to one here. But I just couldn't go through with it (for my parents sake). It is nice that it's so accessible. I have to be grateful for that fact.

Not really. Each country has it's own things that make it better and worse than the US. Grateful I live only a few hours and a couple hundred dollars away from a gun though.

I live here too and in Florida we are under a dictator already.
Half of every paycheck goes straight to insurance but I still have a $90 copay to see a counselor. Our health care system is horrendous.
Death by gun has always seemed too violent and messy for me but I have to agree it's slightly reassuring to know I can easily get one. Rainbow flags are banned but guns are encouraged. Go figure.

Maybe but I was shocked to hear that it can still go wrong. People have survived with horrible injuries. That would trouble me. I hate it that most methods seem to be possible to fail with horrible consequences.
